Flooded basement

If things cannot get any worse I got woke up today to be informed that our basement is flooded with water .. no clue where the water is coming from.

In any case due to other problems we have had I have asked before to find a new home but could you please direct some energy are way to find a new home even quicker. With the cold weather I am not looking forward to more snow or the little creek flooding if we already have to contend with this..

Thanks I think my husband is about to lose it. He has lost now most of his books and I think some of my ritual books and such got ruined... He is ready to explode and I am ready to cry..

It's hardbeing that this is your home .
Being in a place you dislike is bad enough, but for this sort of thing to happen must be devestating.

Thanks EN.. I am sure I will be fine with the issues of the house unless my photos and grandmas stuff got ruined then that would be another story... but I am more worried about how to handle my husbands negativity.... But I have survived worse so I am just trying to do what I have to do today and that is that...
So with that I have to go get ready for Cleos Group party. Talk to you all when I know more.

Still trying to dry out some of the stuff for some reason the one vent upstairs is not working I think i am just going to as on rent day if there are any other suites available in any of the other sections.

Well most of the stuff that got wet is now dry and we still have no clue what the cause is. The maintenance guy seems to think it could be inside the one wall that separates us from our neighbors and that they did not use enough waterproofing stuff in the concrete...

All I know is I do not want any more family photos and such ruined so we are defiantly trying to find places upstairs for this stuff and hope we can move soon.

Well we just got done at 2:30 am cleaning out more water. Oy I wish it would end and we think we know now at least what the problem is.

Help me get out of here .. I hope we can get a new unit this January and so much for holiday stuff ..

so sorry . I hope things get better for you. Do you think that pipe was cause of 2 other floods? (slow leak lead to pipe to bust..)

Nope cause if it was the leak in the pipe I think would have been bigger I think.
I thought it was cause of the power outage we had the other day and for about 5 hours no heat it could have froze but not sure about that either..

And as for things getting better I hope so .

Water heater that is where the pipe is leading from ... and of course cannot get a holdo f the landlord due to the holidays...
