OK, so I went into a deep meditation last night. First I went to the Underworld and after to the Upperworld, this was to meet different Goddesses who maybe had a message for me for this present time in my life. Here is what happened... and I'm gonna try and cut a long meditation/story short LOL.

I traveled to the Underworld first and this is where I met Kali Ma, the Hindu Goddess of Destruction, Life/Birth/Death, Mother Goddess, etc. Now I never planned before hand which Goddesses (if any) I was going to meet, I just went with the flow. She appeared to me just as a HUGE head. She had an Asian face with Her nose pierced and Her skin was purple/blue. I knew it was Kali as that was the name ringing through my head for the whole of the time I was in front of Her. She looked fierce but as soon as I was in front of Her I told Her I wasn't afraid as "She is my Mother and some day I will return to Her." As I said this Her face softened a little and then suddenly She swallowed me, WHOLE :bug: I was then spat out into a waterfall which IMO was to cleanse me. It was kind of a blur for a short while after this until I got myself out of the waterfall and back to the dark surroundings of the Underworld (not scary just very dark surroundings). Kali was gone by this time and I was left alone to make my way back down to the great World Tree and to make my second journey up to the Upperworld (was I relieved) LOL :) (BTW - I use the World Tree to make these two journeys).

I was now in the gorgeous surroundings of the Upperworld. I followed the lit path in front of me and looked around to see the scenery - hills, mountains, lakes, streams, flowers, lambs, foxes, butterflies and much more... it was surreal, totally amazing! Then pops in my head 'FREYA.' I knew who I was to see in front of me next :) Now I know nothing of this Goddess and have never worked with Her before. She was beautiful, though at first I couldn't see Her face properly as it was covered by Her hooded cape. As I got closer I introduced myself to Her and She slowly appeared from behind her hood. She had the most perfect pale skin, long golden/strawberry blonde hair and big blue eyes. She stood before me and I felt Her hug me (not physically) but I felt it, this brought tears to my eyes. Then She touched my forehead at the Third Eye (this time I felt it physically) and said to me "Do not fear my child, for everything is going to be OK!" She then touched my chest at my Heart Chakra, this is when I felt an overwhelming sense of healing and love. I stood before Her and said my thank you's. She then turned around and started to walk away, I watched as She disappeared into the distance, once again with the hood of Her cape back up covering Her face.

Back down to the World Tree and out of my meditation!

I came to and wrote it all down :)

First thing this morning I checked on the net regarding Freya as I know nothing of Her. I was surprised to find out She is often depicted (think that's the right word) with long, strawberry blonde hair and big blue eyes. She is usually seen as very beautiful. How weird that I saw Her like that and knew nothing of Her, weird, hey!

And there you have it, swallowed and cleansed by Kali and then Blessed By Freya!!!

Today I feel like a new person! It's Enlightening!!!

Thats interesting!
I've heard this idea of being swallowed/ripped apart to enter into the underworld in several cultures.

How wonderful! It sounds like you had a beautiful experience, Freya is my patron goddess and she appears to me very much like you described her. If you are interested my favorite Freya site is www.freyja.com.

It really was something else. I've never had a meditation as vivid and as strong as that one.

OK, this is strange :) I found this about Freya on the above website "As the divine Inspirer, she promotes imagination for Arts & Crafts, passion for building of all forms, and lust for procreation"

Now I'm not really into Arts & Crafts as such (well I used to be when I was younger but not so much now) but what do I find myself buying today while out with my Mum - A candle making kit and glass candle holder painting kit :hehehehe: I haven't bought anything like this for literally years!!!

Thank You Freya :)

Your meditation sounds beautiful.

I would watch out a little bit, though, with that freyja.com. I like the website in general and I think it's a good place to think about how beautiful She is (I, by the way, am fairly good friends with Freya). However, the author of that website is very quick to dismiss Her warrior side. I do agree that She is not a war goddess, per se, as She is sometimes depicted, but the fact remains that the warrior exists in Her. So definitely read other places, too, and question what you read on that site, as it is most definitely that particular writer's opinion of her, and not always based in history.
