One of my best friends is in a bad way. Her daughter was arrest for the fourth time today and she is not bailing her out this time. Which of course makes her feel like a horrible parent. On top of that the love of her life had to go back home to Germany today.

Please all of the extra energy and positive thoughts you can spare, would be appreciated. I am on my way to be with her right now. She gave permission for this thread. Her heart is breaking as is mine. She really cannot take much more.

Tough love..as a parent I think it comes with the territory....although so does guilt that you're doing the wrong thing.
I hope that her daughter realizes that she is doing this because it is for the best.

Yep. I sure hope she will see it this time. It is a very, very hard lesson but one I guess she needed. One we thought she learned the beginning of last year and has been paying for ever since. Now this one will require even more of a payment and one I am not sure she is really ready for, but ready or not, it is coming.

Thanks everyone for the kind posts. It meant a lot to my friend. And it did give her added strength that she is sooooo in need of right now.
