Willow Rosette has lost her home and she does not know when and if she will be able to find a new place. Finances are not god and for the weekend she and her young daughter is staying with a friend but she does not know where to go after that. WR is really stressed out and I think she is almost about to fall apart. So any energy and prayers will be very much appreciated. I have only spoken to WR through e-mails so I don´t know how much else I am to tell about her situation, but I do not think she minds if I say that her own family is failing her and I belive that is causing grief to.

/Anne

Willow, you are always in my prayers. :hugz:

I cannot tell you all how much that means to me. Life is so scarry right now I cannot even tell you. I keep trying to have faith that there is a reason behind this and when this lesson is learned we will be ok, but it is getting harder and harder to do just that. My biggest concern is how this is going to effect Toria. She is a strong and amazing child but she doesnt understand at all what is going on and it is really hard to explain it to her.

Hopefully soon life will be back the way it is supposed to be and we will be settled again.

Anne I love you so much. :hugz:

Thank you so much everyone for your love and prayers. For those that are in the states and want my number you can PM PandoraHealer and she will give it to you. I am so blessed to have you all as friends.

Willow Rosette :

List your needs...whether it is the universe , those
here on MW , the Gods and Goddesses , or the Faery...

Or even family...may their compassion be activated...

Someone , some being , some force , shall be set in
motion , by that simple act...what do you need , both
immediate , and near future , for you , and your child's
safety , and security ?

Honesty...and ask only for needs...I have faith , in the
answer arriving shortly...and I am working on it , in
the astral...I shall do my best...

Dear dear Willow...

I wish I could help. I feel so utterly helpless right now. Ever since your card arrived, with the wonderful pictures, you and your little Toria have been in my thoughts. I did not know it was this bad... Maybe it's a good thing I waited to send my letter back...

Oh, I wish there was something I could do. Anything, just to help...

I know you are a strong person... A very strong person. Keep your head up girl, and believe in yourself. You have never been out of my thoughts... From now on, I'll light a candle for you on my altar, every day...

I believe in you, dear friend!

Oh, Willow Rosette, hon, I am in the same situation. We lost our home in December, and am in a very troubled marriage. My daughter and I are at the in-laws place, but that means staying in the marriage for the time being with nowhere else to go. My dreams have been put on hold, and it is soul-destroying, but everyday I am working a little by little back toward financial independence and I will have some very hard decisions to make.

Keep your faith, it will help you through... and try to remember that this only a temporary situation.

much love,

Remember what I told you about having Toria look at this as an adventure. You promised me that you would talk to your mother, make her listen!! Sending as much energy as I can spare that all of this will soon be resolved and things will get back to "normal". It will get better honey, I promise. I love you and Toria bunches! Hi everyone I just wanted to give a quick update.

Toria and I have a friend who is letting us stay temporarily long term with her. So thank the Goddess we will not be bouncing around town. That would have been very difficult on Toria. Victoria has known this friend all her life and was even named after her. So that is very much a positive. Toria and I and the 2 cats, 2 rats, and guinea pig are safe and sound and together.

Now I can focus on finding a job and I will be able to get back on my feet.

Thank you all so much for the love.

Mukka came out of her hiding place about 10 minutes after I made that post. I dont know why she wouldnt come when Toria called but thank the Goddess she did. She has never not come when Toria wanted her and to holler for her for that long and her not come about had me panicking. I think maybe the move and the changes has been a little harder on the fuzzy kitty than I thought it would be. But she is alive and well and let Toria love on her after she came out from hiding which made both Toria and I feel tons better.

Thank you so much for the safe Mukka prayers. I know Toria was getting scared and she would have just been devistated right now if something had happened to her cat.

You all have been absolutly wonderful during all of this. Your love and prayers has helped more than I can ever begin to tell you.

Thank you so very, very much :huddle:

Lunacie
January 17th, 2008, 12:07 PM
YAY! so glad she's safe.

I figured it was just the stress of the move. Not just for Mukka, but also because our pets can be very empathic and she's probably sensing the stress and uncertainty for Toria and you. And if there are other pets in the home, that may have been a factor.

There are other animals in the home but not in the space the cats are in. Vickie has two big dogs, a small dog and some cats and since we arent sure how my cats would react to the big dogs we are going to keep them seperated. It is a big room they are in and once we are moved in there and the pig and the rats (the cats are friends with the little critters) I think everyone will be able to relax. I was just so scared Mukka had passed on somewhere and I would have to tell Toria. She is a wonderfull cat and no matter what abuse Toria heaps on her Mukka at worst gives her a little scratch. I really almost cried when I saw her, just from being so damn thankfull I wouldnt have to have the talk with Toria. Then I gave her a good finger waving about how much she scared me LOL.

I know the fingers crossed and Mukka come back wishes helped so much. Just to be able to see her made Toria feel sooo much better.

Lunacie
January 17th, 2008, 02:29 PM
A lot of changes for Mukka, and for all of you. Cats can be very sensitive about moving into a new space, especially when they can smell strange critters nearby. Especially if those critters are not familiar, and it doesn't sound like Mukka has much experience with dogs. It will take her some time to adjust to the changes, and she may need a little quiet time now and then in a safe place - usually under a bed or a table.

You amaze me every day dear lady... You are so strong! And your daughter has that same strength. I love you so much!! Keep your head high, you'll manage!

About Mukka... Goddess, that was scary to read. We lost our youngest cat last year too. We found her by accident, miles away from our house. Apparently she sneaked, at night, past the building site that was next to us last year. When they workmen came back, she was too scared to cross the meadow again. She kept on going, in the opposite direction.
I cried when I saw her again... And I was 21 at the time... I'm so so happy for little Toria.

Good luck!!

Yea!! We are finally moving out of my friends daughters room and into our own. We are going to tackle it today and get it done. Which means we will be able to sleep with our kitties again and become a little more organised over all. I think this will really help Victoria settle in too. Toria is used to having all the critters in her room with her, minus my cat of course. So I think this will help her alot. Have set places for her things and a little more order in her life should help alot.

always thnk you for the kindness. I have always worked very hard to be the best Mom possible. I made sure every aspect of my life was Toria friendly. I do things with my friends when I can bring her with me. The only time I go out with out her is when her Grandparents have asked for her, then I will make plans. But I never ask them to have her so I can go play. But this has really made me question how good of a parent I am. If Vickie hadnt let us stay here we really had no other option. In a big way I have failed to keep my daughter safe and provide her with the basic needs.

That hurts more than anything else.

I think that the circumstances of our lives don't determine our worth, it's our response to those circumstances. And I think your concern and you putting Toria first, and busting your rear to make sure she has a safe and happy life even when life has dealt you a very hard hand, makes you a great Mom. And I think when she grows up, Toria will let you know just how much she appreciates what you've done and how well you've responded to the crises life has thrown at you.

Brónach Druid
January 26th, 2008, 09:59 PM
I don't think you could find a mom anywhere that didn't ask herself that question at one point or another.
I have to agree with Alwaysfallingup...circumstances don't make a bad parent, it is how you deal with them that counts. You are a wonderful mom! You have not failed your daughter in anyway, if anything, she now knows even more how much she is loved and that her mom will do anything to be sure she is safe.
I am sure Toria will come away from this whole situation no worse for wear and probably learning some great lessons on how to pull through in a bad situation with strength and grace. You are both still in my thoughts and I hope each day brings you both a little closer to your goals. :)

Willow Rosette

I know I keep saying this but I really cannot thank you enough for the reassuring words. I think I am my own worst critic, and it means so much to hear that.

Tomorrow (well today since it is 1 am) we are going to have a fun day. Everyone else in the house will be gone so she and I can just have some us time. I told her we would read some books have a tea party and play a game. Plus I want to work on our room some more since we didnt get as much done as I had hoped.

So far the piggy is still alive as well. The longer he lasts and the closer I get to having some money to fix him the more I have hope that he might not die on me. I got to give him a good feel today when I took him out to clean his cage. Although he looks unhappy and like he isnt to comfortable in his skin, I think over all he might have a chance.

:hugz:Hey there darlin, I just read about this. Im so sorry your havin a rough time of it. If theres anything Tesra and I can do please let us know. You will be in our hearts, works and minds! We know all to well how hard it can be. We lost our housing a fw years back and practically had to split us 4 in different places to have places to stay. It was very difficult for the boys to understand. The good thing is that Colorado is so single mother oriented so Tesra used that to her advantage with a variety of services. It took some time but it s worked out. The best thing was that we were there supporting each other thru the whole ordeal as you guys are there for each other now. Your doing everything you can and your daughter is safe and with you. Thats what really counts. These things happen, but we show our young ones strength, fortitude and perserverence and that goes along way thru their adult lives as well. And to you both go all our energies to help strengthen you in this time of need. Hang in there hun, hang tough! :hugz:

Konnichi Wa to Willow Rosette-San (bowing politely):

I just finished Reading this Whole Thread.

I guess all the Property Forclosures that I have been Hearing about occurring across the US (if you are American. Your Profile does not say what Country your in) has Hit You Hard causing you to Lose Your House.

I do have an Idea that Works here in British Columbia Canada that can Help you out getting some Money into your Family.

Just go to the Local Government Office and get a Copy of a Rental Tenancy Agreement. Fill it out that you are Renting a Room from your Friend and then get it Signed.

Take the Tenancy Agreement to the Local Social Services Office (there should be one somewhere where you Live) and make an Appointment to see a Social Services Officer.

Explain your Diffulties to the Social Services Officer, saying that you have found Temporary Shelter and that you have Signed a Tenancy Agreement, showing the SSO your Tenancy Agreement then supply them a Copy of your Tenancy Agreement.

You should then get it set up so that your Friend will then Receive a Social Services Checques to help with your Shelter Expenses, and you might get some Additional Funding and Help in either getting a Job or Training for getting a Job.

Unfortunately, all I can do for you from here is Provide You with Free Tarot Card Readings with my Sacred Stonehenge Blessed and Consecrated Rider/Waite Tarot Deck. I could Two Card Draw. The First Card on what may be going to Happen in the Near Future and One for giving you some Advice on what to do about your Situation.

Also, there are Branches of Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity in California. Maybe look it up and see if there is a Chapter of the MofC in your Area and maybe they will help you will Food and other things.

:hugz: Hon. You are doing all you can so do not think you are failing Toria. You got handed a really bad situation and you are dealing with it as best you can. I know it is easy to think you are not good enough as a parent.(How many times haven´t I said I suck as a mom even though I am not responsible for the mess I am in?) You are doing the best job you can to sort your problems even though your own family is failing you. You are a great mother and a great person that even though you have all these problems to deal with are willing to help your friends in need. To me that says a lot about what a great person you are. Well I finally have some good news. I have been worried about Toria's guinea pig dying before I could have the money to treat him, and I can finally do that tonight. So having him healthy and feeling better will be a HUGE weight off my shoulders. He looks so sad and miserable and I could do nothing about it. So finally he will be treated and hopefully he will be better.

My other news is on the job front. I have been waiting for a local hospital to start hiring and I got the notice that they are. So I will be applying for that job tonight and then monday I have a job interview at an Old Folks home as a driver taking them to Dr.s appointments and such. I really want the hospital job. Im betting it pays quite a bit more and well at this point with no savings left I need a job that pays well and his good health insurance.

Well with the pig I pulled him out of his cage one day and he had this shaking seizure type fit. Scared the CRAP out of me. Several days later I realised he was scratching the snot out of himself. At that point I had no clue that they might be related. So I googled piggy skin problems and found a description of the fits he was having. Turns out they are the same problem. Im mixing 4 EO's together rub it into his skin, wait 24 hours and give him a bath and then repeat 3 days later and he should be better. I would have no clue either if he was sick except this was totally obvious and I can see in his eyes he is miserable. They just arent the same happy piggy eyes.

Lunacie

Oh, yeah, that's really the only way we can tell if my granddaughter is sick or hurting, by the way her eyes look. She can't really tell us if she's sick or hurting, she couldn't even tell us that her arm was hurting when it got broken at school last year. But you can see it in her eyes.

Thank you all for the job energy. I have wanted the hospital job since I first heard about it back in like July but at the same time I think I would enjoy working with the elderly people. Im working very hard to not stress over it and keep telling my self what ever the Goddess wants to happen will.

As for Mr. Piggy......He got his first treatment tonight. I lathered him and bleached his cage on the off chance he could re infect himself. He has some spots where he has itched himself raw and I was concerned that it would hurt him but he seemd ok with it and even did his piggy chirp when I did it behind his ears. He acted a little odd grabbing the towel I had him on and yanking. I have never seen him do that before but since I was torturing him I let him go at it as long as he wasnt going after me LOL.

I gave him a new treat I think he will like and covered his cage so that he didnt have activity around him to stress him more. Im just praying I understood the dirrections correctly and that it helps him heal.

I just found an Advertisement in Canada Job Bank for a HandyDart Bus Driver position working for a Retirement Community that is almost exactly the same sort of Job that Willow Rosette is Interviewing for.

I Emailled In My Application For It!!!

It is sort of Ironic that both Willow and I are both now trying for the exact same type of Job!

Damn I cant Karma either one of you LMAO

The job interview went pretty well. She scheduled me while I was still there for a panel interview where I meet with other managers from other departments. For example the mechanic manager will want to know that I can fill out the proper daily paperwork and that I can do a proper pre trip on the bus. But today went well and Im pretty confidant about wednesday. The pay is ok but not great and only 30 hours a week. But it does come with health insurance and because of the hours I could possibly pick up a part time job on the days off during the week. So it is a possibility :hehehehe:

Willow Rosette
February 4th, 2008, 04:09 PM
Thank You Lili! The piggy is doing ok. He got his second treatment last night and has been doing much better. He isnt itching anywhere near like he was before. But his skin is still very pink which concerns me. I think the medicine might be helping but not solving the problem. I coated the crap out of him last night and will be washing it off tonight. After that I have no idea what to do with him.

Shalaye I never saw your post...:hugz: Thank you so much

So here is the update on the job front.

The Job for U.C. Davis that I really want became open about a week ago and closed yesterday...The pay is great and Im really hopping I get a call back from them. Although I was told possibly 200 people applied...so that concerns me.

The temp agency I applied for called yesterday saying they had a possibility and sent my resume off to that place. This doesnt pay near as much but would also give me hospital/medical office experience like the first.

And then I got two calls for interviews tomorrow. One is for an electric company, I havent googled it yet so I know nothing about it, the other is some kind of advertising company. This one my gut says will be a flake job, but I am going any way on the off chance it isnt.

So thats about it...I really want the U.C. Davis job but Im also telling my self the Goddess will show me what is best.

Thank you all so much for everything, I really cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. I will keep you updated on how every thing goes.

Thanks everyone! The first job was a dud like I thought and told them straight up I wasnt going to be going around selling their products since Im just no good at sales it would be a waste of my time and theirs.

The second one was a better company. Over all I think the interview went well. At the very end she handed me a piece of paper that said 2 x Y + 5 x Y = 70 What is Y? Well I have never been good at math and that kind of math is deffinately beyond my memory of highschool so I had to say I had no clue and no way of remembering. But did want to know the answer and how she got it..so maybe my willingness to learn outweighed the fact that I had no clue and no way to even attempt?

My heart still wants the U.C. Davis job though..so we will see.

Lunacie
February 15th, 2008, 10:29 PM
I'm not usually very good at math questions, especially the ones where I have to figure out what Y represents, but if Y = 10 ...

2 x Y = 20
5 x Y = 50

20 + 50 = 70

...waits for someone to tell me what a knucklehead I am...

You will get the right job , Willow Rosette...

However , if she said that to me...because that is exactly
how I would have gotten , and given the answer...

I would have said :

Excuuussseee Mmmeeee !!!

That is the slow way...perhaps your management team ,
needs an overhaul ? How many top positions are open ,
excepting yours ? Shall I help your team create faster ,
and more efficient systems ? When would you like me
to start ? Oh , by the way , here is my minimum pay
scale ( writing down a few figures ) ...anything above
this , would be acceptable...let me know , when you are
ready to move ahead , as a company...have a nice day...

me if I had "round circles" that big , I had to be good...

She wasnt rude or anything and when they laughed (at least the two guys who where in the room) it was kinda like yea we didnt get it either kinda laugh. It was a nice environment and the people where very nice (just not the test) but I dont know when I sat down I just wasnt comfortable.

But at least it shows the friend I am living with that I am doing everything I can to get a job. I dont want her to think we are here and planning on staying forever. But that I appreciate her and I am working very hard to make this as temporary as possible.

And that , is a great thing , Willow Rosette...

Just remember...put those who have the job ,
waiting for you , in your sphere of influence...

Never grovel for a job , in theirs...

Tell them , you are worth it...and they would
be severely lacking , if they did not choose you...

There are so many , who hire people , who prefer
those , who do not grovel...you are worth it...

Other than that absolutly nothing has changed. The one positive thing about not working is the amount of time I get to spend with Toria and working in her class room. I just wanted to let everyone know...I have a job interview with a big company on friday!! It has alot of things that I really need in a job but one big down fall. They base the shifts on how long you have been there. So for about the first year I would be working the 2-11pm shift. As well as probably weekends and some holidays. It would be really hard not being with Toria as much but I have already talked to my Mom and she said if I got a job offer we would work something out so she had Toria instead of being at day care really really late. So that will help some. And once I have been there long enough the hours will be good, the pay will be good and there is a lot of places to move around in the company.

Any way I am kinda excited and thought I would share.

I just wanted to update you all on the interview I had today. The earliest I could get there was 9 this morning. I got into interview with someone at like 9:45 and was with her for about 45 minutes. Then she sent me to have an assesment test. It took me an hour and 45 minutes to take this test! It was HUGE! But I passed it with a 100% so I am going back for a 2nd interview on thursday!! :boing:

My Mom has decided she wont be helping with Victoria once I get on the 2-11 shift. So the friends we live with said that I should still take it if offered and someone in the house would always be there to get her and get her fed and into bed ontime. I really hate to have them do this since they have already been so wonderfull to me but at this point I just cant see any other option. My Mom wants me to put Toria in a 24 hour daycare. But that just turns my stomach. I would drop her off at school and then someone would pick her up from school and she would be in daycare till like midnight. Which means Toria would be away from home for like 19 hours a day. I really dont like that at all. It also means we would end up living here intill my schedule changed enough for me to pick her up from daycare (about a year). I had hoped to get us back into our own place as soon as I had the money saved up. But that would be several months down the road anyway.

All of your love and prayers mean so much to me. I know with out a doubt you all where there with me this morning and your prayers helped.

I wish I could send each and every one of you a HUGE hug.

I'm sending my energy and blessings. I understand how terrifying it must be for her. Recently I was in a very similar situation and if it weren't for my friends I would have been living in my car. I hope she is going to be alright.

Thank You!!! How are you??? Any news about the Lawyer???

I talked to my friend tonight that works there and he said that over 50% of the people that take the test fail it. I was shocked! It wasnt all that hard, just a what would you do in this kind of situation kinda questions. It was long and required lots of thinking but sheesh not even any math or spelling or something like that. So I think that ups my chances quite a bit since my test results where so hi. :smileroll

Ohhh Honey dont worry :hugz: Once I got through the move and was able to sleep again things got much better. Right now my biggest stress is being able to give Toria a birthday party in August and if I get this job that will be secured. As long as she is happy then all is good.

You know that I am always here for you anytime you need it. I do have to agree with those that have said how wonderful you are. You are such a kind-hearted person and you always put everyone first. The sacrifices that you have made along the way will all be worth it, because in the end, you will have all that you need and more. Know that Toria is one of the luckiest children in the world. I know that I am one of the luckiest women in the world, I have one of the "bestest" friends ever! The two of you are always in my thoughts. I love you honey and I know that you will ace that second interview next Thursday!

I havent heard back about my last interview but Im praying all is well. I figured if I was going to get a turn down letter it would come today and it didnt so my fingers are crossed still. The training class starts next tuesday so Im getting really nervous not knowing what is going on. I called in today to let them know that I am still interested and found out the woman that interviewed me last week is now on maternity leave so I talked to someone else and she said she would look and call me back. I havent heard from her so I guess I will take the risk of being a pain and call her back again tomorrow.

Please keep those fingers crossed for me!

i think you have to be patient hun - and i know you cant be patient right now lol
it can take a while in some jobs to get an answer
here in australia if they need to do a criminal record check it can take 2 weeks

Willow Rosette

I dont really have time to be patient I have been job hunting for a year and a half. I have lost my apartment and Im having to rely on friends for a roof over our head. I really cannot be patient. And to be honest with the Verizon job their 7 week training starts next week. So if I have any chance of getting in still I have to be on her constantly.
