During an earlier interview, Dr. Musgrave stated he attempted to communicate with ET life forms during each of his six missions. He actually asked them to take him with them. Now that's an astronaut with a lot of courage. Dr. Musgrave retired after this flight from NASA. Since then he's been spreading his considered opinion that alien life exists. When Musgrave speaks of this, it's no great leap for one to assume he's admitting knowledge of alien life. As the final slide of a "Grey" ET was shown during a recent astronomy presentation by Dr. Musgrave, he made this surprising comment: "These guys are real... I guarantee it!"

It sounds like the article's taking Musgrave's statements out of context. He's saying he believes extraterrestirials exist; that's one thing to say, a stance which is at worst defensible and at most fairly believable given the scale of things. It is also a statement which is not being suppressed by the government, whatever articles like this claim.

The article, however, is taking fairly common orbital sightings - LEO is crowded, and the lack of atmosphere breaks the sense of scale or distance so a lot of weirdness is supposedly seen - and then saying that Musgrave says that extraterrestrials are here.

The fact that none have contacted us is proof there's intelligent life out there.

I don't know if they've ever been any where near earth. But when you think about how big the universe is I would be really surprised if there weren't other forms of life out there some where.

I definitely believe there's other life out there besides us. Considering how many worlds and galaxies are out there, I highly doubt we're the only one.

Now, have they been to Earth?
*shrugs* Who knows, maybe they have maybe they haven't.
Maybe they're being secretive about in an attempt to not interfere too much with our world.

Reading this brings to mind the now famous quote from the movie Contact...."if it is just us... seems like an awful waste of space"
