Would anyone be interested in taking a class on Anglo-Saxon Heathenry (Anglo-Saxon Paganism)? I am interested in teaching such a class, but do not want to volunteer if there is no interest. If allowed to teach a course, it would cover the deities, rites, as well as the holy tides, and other basics. BTW, could I teach such a course if there is interest?

I'd be interested. I've always been drawn to that part of the world and it's history, so this sounds like a class for me!

I know little about it, and that's reason enough to want to learn more. Sure, I'm interested.

I have not learned much on Anglo-Saxon Heathenry, but I would be interested to see how everything goes!

Well, I just submitted the outline for the class, and my bio, so hopefully we will have a class soon. Anyway, I have been teaching Anglo-Saxon Heathenry for about 12 years now, so I am an old hand at it. It should be interesting.

Well, I am going to cover the Gods and Goddesses, holytides, the rites, a bit of the history of Anglo-Saxon Heathenry and problems with reconstruction, as well as commonly held beliefs like wyrd and frith.

I'd be interested.

Of late, Freya has been on my mind and it's making me wonder...especially because the Germanic/Norse pantheon was one I've never felt drawn to before, despite my ancestry there.

Don't y'all worry. The class is a definite go. I would be a dern fool otherwise. :hahugh: I, for one, am really excited that S_Wodening is going to teach this class. I have wanted to see more "heathen" orientated classes for a time now in CoT.

Okay everyone, the sub-forum for the class is setup, so feel free to go register for it. Since I do not have much time this week as it is inventory for work, we can start of f with introductions. Then we can get into the nitty gritty next week.
