Pope Give Speech from his Plane enroute to Washington

The Pope gave a speech on the Papal Plane enroute from Rome to Washington on a special flight to the US..

He spoke in english and spoke about the recent sexual abuse scandal involving the Priests..


Benedict pledged that pedophiles would not be priests in the Catholic Church.

"We will absolutely exclude pedophiles from the sacred ministry," Benedict said. "It is more important to have good priests than many priests. We will do everything possible to heal this wound."

Interesting.

However, I agree with what some of the article pointed out - that there has been a problem with cover ups of these events. It's easy to blame the individuals, and they SHOULD be blamed, but there is also blame in the Church itself and the manner in which it has handled allegations of abuse.
