A class on familiars has been asked about before.
As for Elven Spirits. There's currently a Faery Lore Class going, and it will be run again. As for higher spirits I can only assume you mean Angels, and other such spirit guides.
PandoraHealer,
I've been thinking the same thing lately, but aside from one or two ideas, I've come up with nothing that isn't already being taught or that has been taught in the past.
An Incense Class?

I don't think it matters whether it has been taught before. Yes people can find the lessons and assignement in the archives but it is different to have classmates to interact and a teacher who gives advises and offers feedback.
And besides, there is always interest for a class that have been taught to be taught again. Some were not able to complete it,other were not able to join at the time, others are new and haven't even heard about it.;)
What about Elemental Magic and Connection?I searched through the archives and didn't see something similar if i am not mistaken.
I would love a new/revived class on Art 101,Arthurian Legends and Paganism,Celtic Witchcraft,Astrology. Will think of more!

I totally agree with her here!
There are always people who discover they want to study something that has always been taught way too late (when the class they're interested in is already over).. for example new members.
New members join and might want a specific class even though it's been taught before.
So, like Sky, I think it doesn't matter. I say: go for it! Because the teachers are also different every time so even if it's the same subject I believe you'll still learn more and it'd still be interesting!
I think a class on Elementalism (not just the 5 usual elements of the Earth but also other elements like light, dark etc) would be awesome!
I'd also love a class on familiars. I feel like I need to connect to my totem/spiritual guides more now!
A class on Arthurian Legends would be fun but I'm not sure if I'd join it. It depends on what aspect of the legend it focuses on or how it's being taught.
Then I'd love to see a class on Norse Paganism since I lived in Sweden and I really like Scandinavia!
I'd be happy if there was something about Siberian Shamanism too. Then: Candle Magick, Healing... and perhaps something more I am forgetting atm!

I'm working myself into taking back my Tarot class, and once that's complete, thinking of doing a class on the Faeries' Oracle by Brian Froud, if anyone is interested.
Would love to see a class on creating a family practice, ideas for rituals with children, etc.
A class in Vodou would be awesome, though not sure we have anyone that could teach it properly.

aranarose will you focus only on the Faeries' Oracle by Brian Froud or in general in fairy oracles? I have the Fairy Ring by Anne Franklin which was my first deck and it would be amazing to get in touch with it again and deepen my study of it.
Wasn't there a class on Vodou? I think there are talented and knowledgable teachers out there. I have encountered at least a couple in the forums who treat the subject with wisdom.
I would be more interested in Hoodoo, the magical practice, than Vodou, the religious practice.

Oooh this is a brilliant idea.A class on Elemental magic and connection that would also include more of the elements like light, darkness, wood, metal, spirit instead of just the basic 4. Maybe if someone became the teacher of this class me and Suzanah could help him/her with the lessons, especially about light and darkness.Let us know!
I second the Norse Paganism idea for sure!I've been drawn to Odin and several mythical figures so it would be great to discover more!Same goes for totem/spiritual guides and candle magic!
Because the teachers are also different every time so even if it's the same subject I believe you'll still learn more and it'd still be interesting!
Good point,i meant to say that as well. Different teachers teach the subject from a different point of view. They bring more elements into it,make it more whole and there are always parts of an art you hven't thoroughly explored yet.

I'm only familiar with the Froud Faerie's Oracle, and there's actually enough in that Oracle alone to cover an entire class. I've got the Fairy Ring on my Orphalese Tarot program though, but no meanings or book to go with it, so I've never actually used it. I downloaded a TON of decks the other day, and that was one of the

Shalaye did a class in Hoodoo on MWDark, it's still up, and it's a good one. I'm not sure the rules for MW would allow a class on Hoodoo, as some of the practices are very, very adult, and the dark/manipulative side of Hoodoo creeps some people out. Me, I find Hoodoo to be exceptionally useful, and have incorporated it deeply in my practice. Though there is now the forum section that includes Hoodoo, so maybe a class here would be allowed.
Perhaps both? Hoodoo and Vodou are really separate entities, and would, I think, rightly deserve separate classes.

The Fairy Ring is such a beautiful deck! Its images and cards really bring the fairies alive. And the book that accompanies it is most helpful. It has a description of the image and explanation of symbols, background information on each fairy and a sort of guided meditation or contact info for each fairy. I have used it in my first readings ever and i found it very helpful although not very practical for people who seek really mundane info.
I just realised i have Brian Froud's book of Good Fairies/Bad Fairies!!^_^ It was given to me as a gift. Maybe i will buy the Fairy Oracle in time for the class.I love fairies and i can never say no to another deck.hehe
Shalaye was one of the person i had in mind when i was writing my post.Oh i didn't know there is a class of hers in MWDark. Is it the one you have to pay a fee to join?I would join if only i could find my way around PayPal.
I agree with you though that detailed information about the practices of Hoodoo and Vodou maybe should not be visible to everyone. We have children in the forum and many who simply pass by and then leave. Such information could be dangerous in the wrong hands.

MWDark.com is free, you just have to be 18+ and request access from GEBS.
The Faeries' Oracle deck is based on paintings from Good Faeries/Bad Faeries, and I'll include many things from that book in the class :)

I'd love to see the photography class that Aloha mentioned teaching, and the crafting one that RavensEye was talking about.
I originally came to MW to see if I could take an astrology class but after studying on my own while waiting I think I could teach a class on creating a natal chart and the basics of interpretation. I know there has been some interest in that. http://mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=189435

Kitchen Witchery
Brian Froud's Faery Oracle Tarot Class - Teacher: aranarose
Pagan Symbology
Bellydance class

Greek & Roman Pantheon (differences & similarities)
Healing class - Co Teacher: WarriorZhanna

OMG! SOLAR MAGIC! I was just looking at the Moon Magic class in the active classes forum and thought "hey, what about some Sun/Solar Magic?"
My element is light, I'm very very drawn to all kinds of light types like fire etc so I could probably assist the main teacher with this class! :)

Healing class (I could assist the teacher in this as I'm a healer myself)
Siberian Shamanism (and this as well as I have Siberian roots)
Norse Paganism (here I could assist with the languages.. I can speak Swedish)

I think it would be great. If you are worried about the interest in a live class you can always set one up unassisted. We can keep track of how many sign up to it. If there is a lot of interest we can run a live class.

You would write out the class lessons but you would not have to be there to communicate with the students. The lessons would be entered like any other class (minus the chat). The students would be able to select the class from a list and complete it at their own pace.

I think a kitchen witchery class would be very well suited to the basic class type. Tarot and other classes of that sort need the feedback, but a class like kitchen witchery, at least as I envision it, would be instructions on setting up an altar, and using foods and food preparation as spells. Lists of correspondences and recipes, what to stock in your pantry so that you've got everything you need for on the fly spells, etc. No real need for intensive feedback there.

Hmm, don't know if there would be any interest in a general folklore class concerning magical applications. It would cover generic folk methods, which I find are an easy way of getting a magical solution without any investment of magic. They tend to be so firmly established that they require nothing but to fulfill the requirements.
That said, the class would cover far more than just the 'how' of using folklore for magical purposes, but the whys of how the folklore came to be, and the interactions, variations or substitutions between them.
I wouldn't be comfortable without input from others, as I only have the folklore that I'm personally acquainted with and some locales have their own variations or original pieces.
Think it would be feasible?

Co-teaching sounds like an interesting idea, plus would probably work better with my schedule. I have two new ideas:
Numerology Class
Gemstone Class
I'd love it if someone could teach one of them!
I'm already teaching a Crystals Class, have been for numerous years. Will add numerology to the list.

If someone else wants to do a KH class, they can go for it! It's a bit hectic here and might be 2012 before I could  Okay, it's not that bad, but I ceratinly wouldn't mind if someone else wanted to do it!

ok- ok- i'll do it-- don't have to twist my arm.
LOL-- just kidding.
I've had some rough ideas layed out-- just need to finish them up, and get organized- then I'll get started.
I'll start finishing things up-- I have to wait for my kitchen to be done first though.
