It's been quite a while since the last class. I've been thinking about doing another one. But first I'd like to get an idea of how many of you would be interested. If I get a pretty good response, I'll contact the "authorities" and have them set up a thread for us.

For those of you who weren't around last time, I use Adobe Photoshop 7 to instruct the class on the basics for banner-making. For those already familiar with Photoshop, I'm sure you know that there's alot you can do when you get familiar with the program. Getting familiar with the program is the trick. Once you learn the basics, you can branch off on your own and exercise your creativity for a number of projects.

For those of you who don't know what a banner is: a banner is a personal picture of about 300x105 pixels that can be placed in your signature.

Please respond to this thread if you think you'd be interested.

Blessings,
SkySilver :)

I would definately be up to re-taking the class. Its been so long so I've used the stuff we learned, I've forgotten almost all of it.

Very cool... It's been two years! I'm going to have to refresh my memory a bit. It's wierd that I have this itch. Especially since I haven't used photoshop in a while.

Cool! Well, I'm hoping to get more people interested. So far I have three of you. Perhaps I'll get a better response once I set up the class thread...

Hey Faeawyn! :uhhuhuh: Are you "retired" too? I haven't been to the banner depot in a while so I don't know what's been going on lately or who's making banners etc. Eh, I thought another class would be fun. Something to do on my spare time.

Hey sweets!! I have been out of the banner making business for a looooong time :) But I do remember those days fondly :) Ironically, banner making got me on the path to graphic design....go figure

Good for you! Still able to be creative there. I'm not too surprised that happened. I remember your talent with banners. In fact, you were the one who inspired me to start making banners. :hahugh:

Looks like I'll be getting my classroom sometime soon. It may still take a bit to get the class set up. Just figured I'd keep you guys updated.

Looks like they have a new set up for the CoT classes. They were facing some issues with the CoT back in July and they seem to have found a very good solution for it.

I'm happy to say that I have my classroom! I'd like for those who are still interested in this class to please let me know either by posting here or pm'ing me.

Keep in mind that it's going to take a little bit of time for me to figure out how to use the new system. I'm looking to start the class no later than January. If you have any suggestions for a good start date, let me know. It shouldn't take me that long to figure it out. So I can possibly start some time in November - not sure.
