Wow... I wonder if that has anything to do with their secret sauce...

It is pretty gross.
Understatement...

he and everyone else working when it happened. Burger King replaced the sink. I do not see how a relatively clean guy, hopping in a sink in his undies would contaminate something that is made of stainless steel and constantly cleaned. The chairs you sit on, the tables you eat at, and the counter is much more disgusting

I've worked fast food. This is *tame* compared to what goes on.

The seats and tables get a wipe-down with water that *might* have disinfectant in it. The sink can be sprayed with hot, hot water, and sanitized much more easily.

That's not the point, there are laws in place from the health department to prevent cross contamination and foodbourne illnesses. Many of these fast food places aren't clean, that's common knowledge, but if this guy was just THAT stupid to put his skinny ass in a wash sink and videotape it - he got what he deserved. I'm glad he and his cronies got fired.

I think this is pretty funny....and yeah, tame compared to what people can and do do when there's no managers around....not that I would know *innocent look*

It's not like anyone's food was messed with. Replacing the sink-that was a PR thing. :)

But he was a dumbass to post it on youtube.

Oh, I agree that he was idiotic to post in on YouTube, but that doesn't change the fact that there was no real contamination risk. Those sinks are stainless steel and can be sanitized and scrubbed down a lot better and easier than many of the other surfaces in the back or front of a Burger King.

If you're going to get up in arms, consider the number of employees have sex in the back room and cooler, smoking pot in the office, and not washing their hands after going to the bathroom. It goes on in many, many, many restaurants. I fired people for it when I was a manager, and heard about it plenty of times in other stores.

That or smoking pot in the cooler because fresh cut vegetables absorb the smell. As for the sex...yep, I don't know of a manager who hasn't had sex at a fast food joint.

This is nothing new. Some guys did this at our local Wendy's a year or so back.

I'm not up in arms trust me, I was a professional chef for 10 years - I know what goes on in the back rooms. Thankfully, when I became the boss I cleaned house, fired the losers and brought in people who wanted to produce quality and not some jackass who was just working for pot money. A little bit of pride in your job goes a long way, but then again, this was a fast food joint.
