Hi there I'm fairly new to western meditation and I was wondering how common it is for Journeying meditation to be based on mythology.
I've met some Irish Traditions hereditary and otherwise here in Ireland and Imrammic Meditation as a means of Journing to the otherworld with the intention of communing with your gods and ancestors seems to be one of the defining practices.
The link below is from an Hereditary group here in Dublin. The site is called Eblanna Raven. Eblana is a name probably associated with Dublin in a map made by Ptolomy and the lineages surname was established by a king with raven in his name. I guess thats where the name of the site comes from.

Introduction: (the interesting info is here)

What do you think Is it a common thing? Is it hot or not? hehe
Thanks in advance :toofless:
