Wow, I hate blatant sexism, especially when it is done in the name of a religion. I wonder why they care if a woman spreads thier god's word?

I'm not surprised at this coming from the SBC. Luckily I'm not a member of such a church.

I just had two women on my porch this morning, Over dressed, big haired church ladies distributing pamphlets. Is that all they are good for?
Seems like these women would smarten up.

Sad. Sad, sad, sad. How moronic. Makes me sad to say I'm a Tennesseean.

Makes me glad to have converted to paganism and away from Christianity. I don't plan on attending another Baptist church unless I have to for like a funeral or wedding.

I rather like that cover. :)
Even though I'm not Christian, I would buy that magazine just to show support for that cover.

I'm not in the least bit surprised. IIRC, the one and only time I was in a Baptist church was for a wedding, during which the bride had to vow to "be submissive unto" the groom.
The hell with that, IMHO.

Oh, I don't know. I kinda like being submissive. Of course.... I doubt that's the kind of submission the preacher was talking about in that wedding :deviltail

Crap like that is why I left the Southern Baptist church years ago.

Well I say good for Theresa Hariston, and good for Rev. Jacquie Hood Martin as well. It's nice to see these ladies standing up for themselves.
