Mystery artist etches drawings on residents' milk bottles

The artist, dubbed "Pic-glasso" by locals around Stourbridge, West Mids, scratches out frescos of farmyard scenes and animals.

Now some are so keen to find out the identity of the artist they are staying up all night.

:foh: The artwork is incredible. What a wonderful thing to do though I do wonder what the milkmen think of it.

People still leave out empty milk bottles in some places? I thought that didn't happen anymore.

The reason why she did it makes my heart sing. What a wonderful woman.

those are amazing! It warms my heart to think about someone sharing such a gift and not looking for anything in return.

i hope that they are not discovered, that they can remain anonymous since they dont seem to want to be known.

The idea could catch on. Collectable bottles. That would make sales go up as the dairy farmers are not getting enough to pay for the return of the effort involved.

What a typically British eccentricity!

We leave our milk bottles out but all I've ever found is a slug on one!

This is also typically British:

"When I picked it up I saw there was this amazing picture on it. The milkman came to collect the bottles, but I didn't want to give him the one with the picture on it, I'm going to keep it.
"Who knows, it might be worth something one day."

Philistine! I blame the Antiques Roadshow!

I think that's really cool, though it would be cool to see how they circulate, if they do at all.
