Skulls and bones found during dig

Two 300-year-old skulls and several bones have been found during a dig in an Edinburgh street.

The discovery was made during a special dig in Constitution Street, where bodies were discovered earlier this year during tram works.

I bet Burke and Hare stashed those two and meant to go back for them but were picked up by the police before they could!

Interesting, it was, probably, some kind of old murder that took place.

Possibly two of Scotland's most gruesome imports were the serial killers William Burke and William Hare. Burke and Hare hailed from Ulster and moved to Scotland to work as labourers on the Union Canal. Ever aware of a market to meet, Burke and Hare set themselves up as procurers of human bodies to satisfy the demand of Edinburgh's medical schools.

You can read more about their grisley exploits here:

I believe Hammer Films made a movie about them too!

I know the story said '300 year old skulls' but there was no validation of this claim and I just couldn't resist the link with these two characters!
