They are calling it the "Panic of 2008" according to Buisnessweek. Fueled by so called experts and media moguls, we are experiencing a panic similar to the one in 1907.
One Good thing to be gained if any, other than the price of land falling to affordable levels, is that we are seeing the end of the era of high gas prices and record oil company profits.
That's because stock market panic is spreading to the oil market. Oil prices sank to their lowest level in 13 months on Oct. 10 as worldwide investor uncertainty grew. Light, sweet crude for November delivery fell $8.89 per barrel, or 10%, to settle at $77.70 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, or Nymex (CME). Oil has lost 47% since hitting a record $147.27 on July 11.

It is between 3.20 and 3.50 around where I live. I'm glad it is coming down, but it is going to have to come down a lot more before I can afford it!

Well Even the OPEC ministers have stated that current market prices do not truley reflect supply and demand figures.

The price is down to $2.55 - a dollar lower than it was in mid-September. Some days it has fallen twice. I haven't seen anything like this since the "gas wars" in the 70's.
