Dance Performance

I will be performing my traditional Japanese dance in under 5 hours and I`m nervous as hell. I think I put on every protective piece of jewlery I could find and practiced till I couldn`t no more!

I`ve had a lot of bad luck leading up to this last night being the worst when TWO people called with wrong numbers TWICE (so 4 calls from two people) and called me at 5am when I had to get up at 630. Brain not awake and Japanese people asking me if I know a Mr. Tanaka = a very not nice Amilee who`s swore at the poor Japanese men.

ARGH

So, today, 200 people, me, a stage, dancing all by myself. I need all the prayers I can get!! Especially in the memory department! :cutie:

Oh - do you have that tradition in dance? I come from a theater background... if not, then forget the whole leg thing... (but if yes then SOMEBODY had to say it...)

I had so much fun and it was soooo beautiful! Everyone came and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I`ve had in Japan! I got flowers, muffins, goodies of all kinda and congrats notes too!

I feel like a star right now! :cutie:

When I get the video you bet I`ll get it up here!!! I`ll definetly have photos in a few days time!

You're not allowed to perform with hair that color so I had to dye it back. (sniffles) It's just lucky that my hair color WROCKS right now. It's Chocolate with Caramel highlights. mmm delicious.

I've got my Umbrella and Homework (for Tenna Raiko which tells the story of all the things a kid has to do on the way home from school)

and my Sensu (or dancing fan) for Kyou no Shiki which tells the story about the changing seasons of Kyoto.

Well my hair isn't long. It's been cut really really short actually and I had to put in like 50 pins (maybe more) to keep my hair looking like that. X3

I should have some piccies of my normal hair style soon since I'm off to Kyoto tomorrow to wear my autumn kimono! Kimono's ROCK!
