Taking a fictional character you really like and meditating on absorbing some of their personal traits that you admire and may want for yourself. In a way it's almost like an actor learning to slip into their role, except more modified and not entirely complete. Anyone else ever do this?

Interesting idea! I've never done it but might give it a try. Have you had success with it?

Same. It does sound like an interesting idea, one that I never thought of before.

a little bit of success here and there i get so absorbed sometimes that i have a harder time singling out the traits. right now i'm working on fine tuning frugality to the point of being almost miserly with this lovely economy we're having.:smileroll:bow:

I do this all the time; I've even made charms of my favorite characters and role models (such as Raistlin Majere, Jarlaxle D'aerthe and Artemis Entreri) and communicate with them frequently.
