Are these terms...compatible?
The ads have got me wondering and I don't want to be wrong in thinking that these two paths are not.
Pure curiosity-thanks.

I'll admit that I don't practice Santeria OR Wicca... but while you might incorporate Santeria beliefs into a Wiccan spectrum, I don't think you could rightly call yourself a "Santeria Wiccan". Santeria seems like a totally separate belief system in and of itself. Kind of like calling yourself a Muslim Wiccan... I suppose you could have a Wicca in which you called upon Mohammad, but it wouldn't exactly be Muslim, would it?
I could be totally wrong, though, as I don't practice Santeria.

While I do know of many Wiccans who practice Santeria as well, usually thier rituals are done seperately. Santeria has a large, living and complex religion with it's own set of rules, ethics, values, divine beings and ritual protocol that differ vastly from Wicca. I personally would never incorporate the Orisha into a Wiccan ritual. However, I think that you could make offerings to the Orisha if you'd like, just make sure that you do your research. I wouldn't want to piss those spirits (or anyone else really) off.

That's pretty much what I thought...at the time MW was running ads for a Santeria Wiccans site. It seemed to be one of the stranger ads that have been in rotation here :)
Thanks everyone!!
