I just woke from an extremely vivid and intense dream and wanted to share it. Comments are welcome. I am still pondering it myself...

I dreamed that I was outside my mother’s house and could not get in, as all the doors were locked. (I haven't lived there in almost ten years, btw) It was just before dawn. There was a storm coming, and the winds were picking up. I went around to the backyard and sat down on the back steps, and leaned back to watch the clouds passing overhead. They were moving very quickly, and there were flashes of lighting within them.

As I looked up, I whispered, “Goddess, I need to get their attention so I can get inside the house before this storm gets any worse.” With that, there was a tremendous sustained roar of thunder that just kept going forever. It was deafening. A huge, solid bar of lighting came down from the sky and struck the crabapple tree in the far left corner of the yard, turning it into a pillar of fire. The lightning just kept on coming in a solid bolt and the thunderclap kept going and going. I could feel my whole body reverberating from the thunder. I cried, “How much more can it take?” and the lightning leaped to a tree right beside me (which is not in the yard in reality) and instead of catching fire, the tree was ripped out of the ground and fell.

At that point, my mother came to the back door and opened it. As she did, the thunder abruptly stopped and the sudden silence was just as overwhelming. I looked up at my mother in a daze and said, “I think that the crabapple tree is on fire.” She nodded, and I sat up to look. Where the tree was, there was only a fallen, charred trunk, and it was not on fire. I also noticed that every other tree in the area had been knocked over from the blast.
The last thing I remember before waking was the knowledge that the goddess who had heard me and responded was Pele. I wondered at that, as I didn’t think she was associated with storms.

When I woke, I was trembling and my ears were ringing. There was no thunderstorm. I could still feel the palpable presence of the Goddess, and thanked her for the dream, even though I was not sure yet what it meant.

Wow. Some dream. I love hearing other peoples dreams. It just fascinates me. I like trying to interpret other peoples dreams. It just kinda makes me feel like I know them a bit more. Its just way kewl :) (lol Sorry if I'm freaking you out but I'm like... tired and hyper, having the best day of my life but also in a bad mood  ) I have a question: Did this dream have any major impact on the way you see things now?
