My cat. please.....

My wonderful, heart's mate Pickles is very sick. Her poor neck is all swollen up, it is horrid. She won't let me pet her. And I know that she must be hurting so badly for her not to let me touch her. I have to wait untill Monday to call a vet's b/c out here in the sticks there are none open on the weekends. JNo emger. vets, nothing! I found her this morning and I knew something was really wrong as soon as I laid eyes on her. I have been a wreck ever since, I can't stop crying.

Please send her all the spare engery you guys can! I rarely need energy help, but I really need you guys now....

There are many things this could be...but the first thing that jumps to my mind is an abcess. They are fairly commom in cats, they can seem to "just pop up overnight", they can be rather tender/sensitive/painful and they are quite treatable. If your bebe is an outdoor kitty at all...even part-time....she could have been tagged by another kitty or had a dog nip her.....any small wound can cause an abcess to form. For now, let her rest, watch to make sure she is eating and drinking plenty, leave the area alone since it is tender and if possible...keep her indoors.

Thanks guys. I have been letting her sleep under the bed. She won't eat, she takes a lick or two of water and food really is about all. :( But I was reaching undr the bed to check er, she let me pet her back, and then she turned around and let me pet her head. I am still so worried though, I still have to wait untill Monday to get her in! :(
