My closest and dearest friend :smile:Bethany:smile: was taken into custody in court today to serve a sentence of 30 days in county lockup. She is a sweet a generous woman who has helped many people and saved my life from a torturous existence of emptiness.

Whatever you believe in I ask you to pray or light a candle or whatever you like to do for her and her safe and very uneventful stay. The Mother of Creation will be hearing from me every morning day and evening rest assured. Your help will be appreciated.

By the way she is only there because the mother of her girlfriend believes she turned her daughter into a homosexual. This woman is the most insane bigot I have ever had the displeasure of meeting.

I have to agree. I am a bit confused. There doesn't seem to be any crime done. Still, my thoughts are with you and your friend.

My apologies I'm still upset and probably not making sense. Many months ago everything was fine. The mother of her girlfriend liked her and enjoyed her company, even let her stay the night at her house with her daughter alone. When her daughter told her mother she was gay and had been dating my friend she went nuclear. She got a no contact order against her. Which gets them both in trouble if broken. They continued the relationship anyway, they are beautiful together. They would make any Goddess of love blush. Her mother's interfering boyfriend (who is cheating on his wife and three children) found out and Monday in court the judge gave her 30 days. Me and her girlfriend who I consider a best friend have tried to console each other but not with much success. It's only been three days but health is already starting to fail us both.

no contact orders can be tricky. my niece has had several put against her for very stupid reasons. they seem to do more harm than good.

my thoughts and blessings are with you and your friend.

Just for the record how old is the girl whose mother got the order? It may seem a little lame to ask but it does make a difference in understanding the why of the situation.

Agreed.

From the description, with the girl still living with her mother, sounds like she was a minor.

If so, whether or not the relationship was gay, straight, anything is irrelevant. If there were minors involved and anything that could be constued as sexual involved, it was illegal, plain and simple, whether just the other girl or she and your friend were both minors.

If they were both consenting adults, then legally the mother would have had no say, so to me, unless there's some really weird circumstances, it seems pretty self evident that the girl in question was a minor.

So, not much sympathy from this quarter. Although from the GBLT perspective, the mother is an idiot, if her daughter's a minor, her word goes, your friend was warned, and is facing the consequences for a stupid decision that will reflect badly on the GBLT community in general, unfortunately.

Again, if the gilr in question was not a minor, then my perspective is completely different and I can think of words to describe the mother that aren't particulalry appropriate here, but if the girl was a minor, then consider the jail time a much needed lesson for a very foolish friend.
