A couple days after my husbands birthday he called his dad to see what day he was going to come see him. A friend of his dads answered and said his dad was in the hospital having fell down the stairs of his appartment. We thought nothing of it really.
Till yesterday when his mother called and told him his father was in a coma and his brain is hemmoraging. They said he woke for about a half hour but didnt really move and wasnt coherent.
I guess it doesnt help his mental state either that his beloved dog, a tiny toy breed, was hit by the fire truck when they showed up to help his father :(
My husband is torn up right now and wont even go see him cause he's afraid it will be the last time and he doesnt want the last memory of his father to be of him in a hospital bed.
I'm gonna call his mother tommorow see if i cant get an update.

That is terrible news! I was just wondering how you were doing the other day since i hadn't heard from you in a while.
Sending positive healing energy to your Father-in-Law. Sending :hugz: to you and your family for having to deal with the whole situation.
Please keep us all updated on how he's doing and how you're holding up! :)

I agree. How old is the gentleman?
Please convey to your boyfriend that his memories can include the happy ones. They will be better for him. I didn't get to say goodbye to my Dad. I regret it. :hugz::hugz::hugz::hugz::hugz::hugz:

Thank you everyone it really means alot. It really does.
I dont have an update yet as its 6:30 am, a new day but stil to early to go calling anyone.
and watersprite I really dont know how old he is, truth is I dont know the man at all the first time I met him it was after I got his son arrested and he didnt like my attitude and threatened to "take me outside." I never really got along with him.. I'm guessing he's around 38-40 cant be much older then my father.
All I know about him really now that i think about it is that he was a bad person. Wow.
