Have you ever seen something that you could classify as being a UFO?
My Mom lives in Tennessee near Oak Ridge, and I have spent the past two falls there. Both times I have seen somethings that are very peculiar. There is a hill across the lake from them that they call UFO hill. One of her neighbors swears that aliens were in her house while she was sleeping at night.
I don't know if what I saw was of alien origin, but it was strange enough to classify as a UFO.

newp, never seen a UFO. i ususally come to the conclusion within seconds that its either an alien space craft, comet, meteor, military jet, or satelite.
(UFO is an unidentified flying object. im pretty quick at figuring out what it is that i see and therefore cant call them "UFOs" :) )

Honestly, I think Aliens have visited earth. Absolutely I do, I'm positive of it.
And their probably just here to watch the cows graze. (Us being the cows that is) I mean if we could go see what they were up to you all know you'd play peeping tom to!

I actually did see something, several years ago. I was driving with a friend along this road, no street lights, we were in the country. In the sky there was this neon green flash and the light kind of zipped right , left then right again and dissappeared.
It was so fast I thought I was the only one who saw it. There was a moment of silence and my friend asked, did you see that? I said yes and we called it in to NASAU. Never heard anything after that but I believe it was a UFO.
No, we weren't smoking anything...LOL

Once, when I was about 9. Honestly though, I don't know if I saw it for real or if I was dreaming. I was sleeping in my room and I woke up to a bright light. I thought it was the moon, but it was kinda oval shaped with red, blue and white lights. I closed my eyes and opened them again, because I couldn't tell.
Again, I was young and I'm not really sure if I was dreaming it or not.

Nope, but I wouldn't be surprsied if they exist. The probablility that none of the planets in the universe have life capable of space travel is so low that I have to beleive they exsit.

Nope i never seen one.
And I don't think that aliens have visited the earth because of the lack of creditable physical evidence.

I've seen a UFO, I sincerely doubt it was a spacecraft. I assume it was a man made object. It was very odd, but there are very innovated people out there who make amazing things from their backyards...

Well, first off, allow me to say, I am pretty sure that aliens have visited us, but I think that they are just too smart to leave us any tangible proof. Basically, I don’t see any reason NOT to think aliens exist, and have dropped by to peek in our picture window.
Heres my UFO story;
I was about nine or so, and was roller skating in the street in front of my house. I looked and saw this large silver oblong in the sky. My heart dropped, I couldn’t stop staring at it so hard my eyes started watering, it was like time stood still, I was soooooo excited, and terrified, and amazed, and here I was staring up and this . . . this . . . thing in the sky
*sigh*
It was the freaking Goodyear blimp *facepalm* _inabox_

I wanted to add to my previous post. I've lived in the Lower Hudson Valley in NY all my life. When I was a teenager, the big hoax with the "v-shaped" craft was going on. It turns out it was planes in formation, but I remember on several occasions a bunch of us seeing that. But I guess because we all knew what it was, it wasn't really a UFO.

I saw this silvery round ball up high in the sky one afternoon. It went behind a small cloud but never emerged out of it. It could've been a weather balloon. But I don't know for sure.
Another time was late at night. Me and my mom were driving down a dark highway and the sky was clear. You could see many stars. We were facing Orion and I saw this small speeding light pass right through Orion. It was too slow for a comet or meteor, but it was too fast for a satillite and plane. Apperently there have been alot of U.F.O reports in that area.

I've seen one, once.. It could classify as 'just a green light in the sky', but what happened straight after I saw it simply confirmed it, for me at least...
I was riding home on night on my bike and I passed the soccer stadium. There's a huge parking lot next to it and every time I pass it it gives me an erie feeling, perhaps because it's so vaste.. That night was strange though, as I passed I got a feeling that something was going to happen, something like a light in the sky.. At first I thought of those light orbs you hear about all around, but nothing happened so I decided to shake it off - it must have been my imagination. But the second I had passed the stadium and I looked up, something emiting a green light shot overhead. It went fast - faster than a plane -, really clearly, but not too fast to watch it cross the sky and disappear in the distance...
I was dumbstruck and got off my bike, and just stared at the sky for a moment. Then I messaged my guardian (my best friend's mother) with my phone and told her I had seen a lightship, I was just absolutely sure of it. She messaged me back saying she was standing at the window, because she had just woken up from a pure white light flashing through her window.... So I phoned her, sat down in the grass beside the road and we talked about it... It was all simply too 'coincidential' to be a coincidence...

just accept it as a sign of good things and try to understand what they're getting at perhaps sharing their ideas wishing we would share back to them

I have. I was with a friend, and we both saw something in the sky. We were on a road that overlooked the entire valley we lived in.
Right there, hovering in the sky, 10-15 miles away from us was something that appeared to be the size of 3 or 4 large buildings combined. It had a translucent, luminescent, pinkish glow. It was oblong shaped and came to a point at the top. It didn't move.
My friend and I decided to drive closer to it, to see if we could get a better look at it. The thing was freakin huge, so we didn't think we would miss it. As we drove down into the valley in it's direction, the trees and buildings began to block our view of it. We thought if we drove onto the freeway, we'd see it quite clearly as you can pretty much see all the sky from there as there is not much to block the view from the freeway. The entire trip from the top road, to the freeway took less than 10 minutes.
Well, when we got to the freeway it was gone. Something that huge and obvious had just disappeared. I thought that something that big would have been seen by more people, but there was no mention of it anywhere. I also have a hard time believing that a hot-air or weather balloon would just disappear in that short of time....so I'm not entirely sure what we saw that night.

An interesting one for me was finding out about something my Gran told my father about recently.
Last Thursday she was looking out her kitchen window and saw a large silver disc with a cross (X) moving across the sky. She yelled to her home-help nurse to come and see. She rushed in and saw it also. I've yet to get around to travelling down to see her and quiz her about this so I don't really have more details as yet.
She lives on a small farm a few miles from a little town in County Cavan called Virginia.
Interestingly also was that I just happened to bring this up with a work collegue who told me that just a couple of months back, his neighbour told him that he, his wife and daughter had witnessed a large object, glowing red in the sky. He was more than aware of the usual suspects and was adamant that this was not your usual aerial traffic. He described the object as large, bright and appeared like a line if red lights very close together, also it was stationary. He lives in the town of Dromore in County Down and was looking roughly westward in the direction of Banbridge. I don't have any more details than that.
For myself, I'd like to think I'm fairly well versed in aerial phenomenon and I have witnessed a few things in the night sky that are well out of the ordinary (and no, I wasnt drunk or otherwise 'out of it' :)).
The most spectauclar sighting I witnessed along with my brothers and father perhaps 15 years ago. It was reported in the press the following day and I checked with the Armagh Observatory also, who told me that they had been recieving reports about it all through the night.
*cheers* for the reminder on this subject

I've seen classic silver disk I've seen a very large craft best described as 3 rings orbiting a large equilateral triangle I've seen cloud formations including quite a few in depth plain as day images including a man standing with a tool above his head and a figure of a military leader rotting and falling away. a devil holding a hoop to jump through to name a few. . . and then I've also seen the federal version of a UFO impressive but not as . . . the new one you don't hear it till after its gone . . . even still there has to be more than one sort of E.T. so I'm not about to bowing an calling it god. For now I just assume it all an attempt to get us to say hi back. probably think were all nuts an will start shooting if they get any closer . . . I mean shit how do you approach a primitive race of beings without becoming part of the menu.
if your wondering look up crop circles check out research done on them and do try to avoid cult mentality stick to solid science . . . although standing in a formation puff'n greens singing come-baya may entertain our "new friends" and be quite fun your self I really don't see the point. . . meanings of it all well they seem to be comunacating or using a very delacate game of chess to impress and estabolish a pressence and granted the feds are gonna spatter quote fawk's news all over it make U look stoopid for thinking it any other than farmer joe bob with a 2x4 and some string . . . just check it out no one has to believe but its to me a glimmer of hope that there is intellegent life out there god knows there aint fuk awefull next to none here. -peace

I've seen classic silver disk....
That's what I saw to. How close were you to it? I was about 40 feet away and it was hovering just above the ground.

East Tennessee seems to be a hot spot for UFO's, or at least they were when I lived there. My husband was driving to work at 4am one morning and saw a UFO right off the road in a field. When he got close to it it sort of tilted up and just disappeared. Scared him so much he had to pull over. He told me about it when he came home and I was skeptical, even though I believed he saw something. We went out that afternoon to the site and took photographs. For miles there were spots where the grass had been imprinted, not in circles like you'd see in crop circles, but random impressions like something had been dragging or hovering over the grass. We took dozens of photos and still have them. He saw other sightings around the same area over the course of a week, but nothing as spectacular as this.
Not even a couple of months after his sightings, we were both driving on the road and saw an object in the sky at dawn. The sun had just come up and the sky was filled with light, so the light was reflected off an object in the distance. We watched it while we drove and it actually came toward us and came down in altitude, to where it flew right over our truck and we could look up and clearly see the underside. It was a triangle craft with three big lights forming a circle on the underside. It was so weird because we felt as if it wanted us to see it. I know that sounds crazy but that was the feeling we got. There were plenty of people on the road going both directions at that hour, and this thing came down in the sky and flew right over us. After my husband's previous sightings I was relieved to finally be able to believe him 100%.
Now whether it was alien or government experiments, I don't know.

Well, middle Tennessee has its moments for strange things as well. My boyfriend at the time and I were heading home one night and just as we topped a hill, we saw two lights come over the treeline. One flew in a straight line across the sky as the other light "orbited" it. It would circle the first light for a full revolution or two before reversing direction. We pulled over and watched those lights go across the entire sky, north to south.
I don't know what they were, other than lights in the sky. They were definitely interesting though!
