So I've recently been doing more research about different things, mainly out of curiosity and also because I sorta feel like I'm being driven. Anyways, so I was attempting to meditate, and though I've maybe meditated before I'm a very impatient person and never really tried. This time I really tried, and I was attempting to reach a state of gnosis. From what I read about what gnosis is, I dont believe I reached that state, though I did become very calm and peaceful, however I started to feel like my sinuses were clogged. I got this weird feeling of being filled up right where my sinuses are and even now, perhaps 40 minutes after meditating I still feel it.
Is this normal? Does anyone know what it is?
Also after my attempt, I felt very heavy, like it was sort of a challenge to lift my arms.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or reasons why this occurs, scientific or mystical welcome =)

I do not know for sure but a couple of things that might help...do you ground yourself...for some reason it seems like the energies are not flowing...sinuses are close to the third eye... that might be a blockage for you...also the root chakra is linked to your sense of smell....that might be it...

Try walking meditation. Pick some place you can do this without interruption. Maybe inside your own home if you are alone, or perhaps your favorite and well known spot outside in the park at a time when not many people are around.

When you felt filled up, did you also feel warm on your skin, or even flushed or hot?

yes grounding is always important and eat something small, definitly do not jump right up and say hey Im done..
take the time to dwell for a minute in the afterglow as I call it, then ground yourself and as I said eat something small, slowly, then take your time getting up and moving around to continue your day
the outdoor walking is also good if you can do that safely
as for me its a bit around other people/things going on around me but in my own yard or something like that Im fine
