Any suggestions on books, books on tape, etc to the basics of learning to speak Gaelic?

You can get an Irish Gaelic course from the Rosetta Stone people, but there's not one for Scots Gaelic (yet, hopefully). I've heard good things about Rosetta.

I have some books on Scots Gaelic but I think I'm only ever going to get the hang of it with some proper lessons so I've not yet splashed out on buying more interactive methods of learning :) The BBC has a good site with audio files, though, which is helping me with the basics: http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/alba/foghlam/beag_air_bheag/

There's also an Irish Gaelic site by the Beeb as well: http://www.bbc.co.uk/irish/features/8/gaeilge/

The BBC Website is a HUGE part of my group's Gaelic curriculum.

I think that, together with a good written curriculum (that has some audio that goes with it, of course) that it's a really great thing. (OH!! And a good dictionary!!! :))

Have you checked out An Litir Bheag yet?

I haven't, but after googling it I'll be sure to look into it, thanks! :D I'm hoping to be able to enrol in some classes but they don't start again until September so I have a bit of a wait.
