I thought some people might be interested in checking out this book 'A Companion to Greek Religion (Blackwell Companions to the Ancient World)' by Daniel Ogden (and other scholars/authors) (http://www.amazon.com/Companion-Religion-Blackwell-Companions-Ancient/dp/1405120541/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1238427750&sr=8-1). It's recently come out (2007), and is quite good, from the little I've read. Unfortunately, it's quite expensive ($135.64 for a used copy), unless you know where to look (PM me if you're interested in it).

There's also one called 'A Companion to Roman Religion', it makes me wish there were one called 'A Companion to Mesopotamian Religion', maybe, that'll come out one day....

Anyway, just wanted to let you know about this, I think it would be a great resource for people.

I've read bits and pieces of both the guide and companion to philosophy of mind by Blackwell and found them both very good and to a high standard. I would imagine others like the Greek Religion one are pretty good as well.

It definitely is, IMO, it's very detailed about different aspects of the Greek religion, so, is the Roman one.
