View Full Version : Dream Reader Needs Help!
Flar's Freyja

For the entire last week, I know that I have been having very vivid dreams. The problem is, I can't seem to retrieve them at all! They're on the edge of my brain and I just can't pull them in. It's driving me nuts because I know that they're important. I've done the usual, waiting a bit before I get out of bed and trying to remember, etc. but it's just not working.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions?

Freyja, I too had a really vivid dreams last week. My dreams were so vivid that I have been remembering them though. Do you possibly have a dream journal by your bed that you can jot down key symbols down or parts of your dream?

:( All I can remember is they all seemed to have children in them, but I can't remember what was taking place, etc. Makes it difficult to interpret them.

I have found that sometimes, by just remembering a small fraction of the dream, for me it is often the place, that when I'm around that thing while totally conscience it'll help bring back the dreams. Also I've had experiences where I'll dream about something can only remember part of it, don't dream about it again for a long time, but then dream about it and remember more.
I'm currently in a dream "sitcom" I'll have a dream once every two years for one month, and it's a sequeal to the previous dream.

Along with FlamedLilly's idea, is a practice I use. I often use my Aleph-Bet cards, familiar items, pictures, and little letter blocks to help me remember parts of dreams. I will go through my card deck one by one and look for something that sparks a memory. Maybe I will notice the colour bursts on the Aleph card and remember that there was a rainbow, etc. It helps me to retrieve small pieces and then (as FlamedLilly mentioned), the rest of the pieces fall into place.
I too had vivid dreams last week...they were incredibly "supernatural" and strange. They helped reveal a lot of emotional and spiritual situations to me. :)
Good luck with your dream searching!
P.S. Meditation helps too! I often speak to my guide and ask him to take my soul back to the dreams of whatever night and retell me the story. :)

Freyja ~ Try having a bath (or shower), I don't know why but it always help me recall dreams while I'm in the shower. Keep some paper and a pen handy to jot stuff down.

I also get that problem, and I find the harder I try to remember, the worse I make it, so I try to not so much forget it, but not stress about it, even reading back in my dream journal can help revive my lost dreams, as well as meditating on the little fraction that you do remember.

The divination and meditations are great ideas, and I really like your idea of trying to recall them in the shower. I'm usually up for an hour or two before I get in there because I work out first, but I just might try getting in there a bit earlier.
I found that when I was reading my own dreams on a regular basis, I remembered them almost every single time with no problem. Could be that I need to get back into that practice.

:D Well, I remembered one, at least most of it.........Flar had to wake me up for work while I was working on the other half. It was very interesting, about locking doors and closed windows, but I didn't feel panicky although I'm sure it was related to safety and trust issues among other things. Haven't had time to do an in-depth reading yet.
During the recall, for some reason I also recalled a house and a yard that I'd been to in other dreams that were not present in this one, at least that I can remember. That's never occurred before.

Hmmmm......another one......and I'd like some second opinions if possible.
Last night I dreamed that I was getting a haircut and just wanted a trim, and the girl cut off six inches of hair. What was worse, she didn't finish the haircut because I got upset with her and refused to pay for it. Later, when I had calmed down, I went back to ask her to fix it and found that her huge boyfriend had beat the crap out of her. I recall feeling really bad and trying to comfort her.
All I'm getting out of this is that someone made a mistake due to things going on with them not visible to everyone else, but I'm not sure who it might pertain to in my life. Either that, or I shouldn't go to my hair appointment tomorrow!
Anyone got any input?

Hmm.. well, I gathered some information on haircuts in dreams from www.kabbalah.com. (One of my favorite websites.) They suggest that a haircut in a dream can mean...
Haircut (your own):
Depending on the dream's context, and what the person is doing with his life, it can mean that you are going to have an opening for growth. If it's also your beard, the same will take place for the close people around you.
Interesting, eh? Perhaps the dream refers to an opportunity for you to help someone in a dangerous situation, and in this opportunity, you will experience inner growth. Or, perhaps, since it was the hair stylist who was injured in your dream: Someone you help or find in a bad situation may, in return, end up helping you to grow once you help them to feel safe and secure again. :)
Just some suggestions. :boing:

:) Thanks so much, I've had a hectic week and haven't had time to really get into this one. What disturbed me about it was that I felt that I knew this girl but couldn't place who she was at all. Flar and I were talking about it last night and I did get a little bit of intuitive feeling that she might relate to one of the waitresses at my geek job.
And the haircut turned out just fine ;)

I agree, I'd be more scared about the haircut than the general message of the dream, lol. ;)
I hope things continue to work out for you!

:( Yesterday, we were having a discussion about one of the waitresses who's not been showing up for work. I know that there is a drug and alcohol problem there but I'm also feeling that she might be the one I need to keep an eye out for.

Hmm. =/ Good luck with finding out more about her situation and/or helping her. I will try to add this situation into my meditations and try to get some vibrations on it. (Oh my pickles does that sound New Ager-ish!! AAHHH!!!!)

It occurred to me after I nearly hit two more deer Thursday night on the way back to Flar's that since these animals keep getting in my way, I should look up their meaning. I don't yet have Animal Speak but I looked this up on the internet and found that deer mean compassion.
Interesting. Right now I'm seriously considering taking a break from the social work field but it also seems that I might have a chance to try and build up my freelance business, which hasn't been steady enough to keep my head above water. Maybe the dreams and the deer are telling me not to give up............

WOW! You're a social worker?! I wanna be a social worker when I graduate. :) Well, social worker/youth counselor.

:D I'd do some serious divination before you choose this career path :T
There are many things to love about it, and working with children is the biggest reward. Keep in mind that it's stressful, emotionally draining and there is no money in it.
One of the biggest benefits is that the skills you'll learn are amazing and can be applied to just about any type of work with people!
I'm remembering my dreams again and I'm feeling guided to get back into some in-depth reading.
