...If you wear a pentacle do you notice other's around you;
say in the store's line and such that people tend to throw
out the name of their god more often when they see it ?
Reason I ask is because a woman struck up a conversation
with while in line at the motor vehicle dept.
She kept looking at it and started saying "her god..."
If I'd have thought quicker I'd ahave told her that
"It's not upside down !" Tho that don't matter to us,
some people may think different !

Oh dear gods the stories I have. Lets just say I've been Jewish several times. Yes I wear a pentacle though these days on a long chain which is hidden under my clothing. I've also been openly called a witch, a satanist and people have struck up interesting conversations.

I do, it looks like this (http://www.e-witch.com/thumbnail.php?pic=http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/1/8/3/6/7/8/webimg/252780878_o.jpg&w=500&sq=Y&b=Y) so it's a little stylized. Most comments I get are "what does that mean?" so i explain it to them. I tend to wear it under my clothes, tho it always seems to pop out. I also wear my fiance's dog tags, my fiance's algiz pendant & my goalie sticks. But people don't often ask me about it, just every so often.

I have a tattoo of one on the back of my neck. It gets a lot of comments now that I have my hair short. Once at a bar some random guy licked it and that was about the weirdest thing that's happened because of it I think.

I am quite open about who and what I am. We got a couple preachy types at work, but most folks are pretty open and the bosses don't care what we talk about while we work as long as we keep working. We have some great chats about beliefs, home remedies, etc.
I am pretty observant about other people's jewelry, tatts, and clothings styles. Sometimes a fellow path walker just sticks out in a crowd like a sore thumb at a hitch hiker's convention. My standard comment is "Nice symbol" and I usually get some great conversations out of the wearers.

I don't wear one.. it doesn't appeal to me personally... I wear a lot of spirals jewlery-wise.. but since I'm asssociated with Andarta... mostly i wear bear symbols... bear paw prints like this (http://www.native-american-market.com/image-files/buckle-murb106.jpg) upon which my tattoo is based, or fetishes like this (http://www.hopscrimshaw.com/bears/bearpinbig.gif.)
I do ask people about jewlery they are wearing.. but I don't push.. usually just say "What a beautiful pentacle you are wearing..." and let them tell me more if they choose to trust me.

I've had some lovely conversations.
I've also been called a satanist and a witch ( I used to wear a pentacle) and I have been refused service when I tried to buy milk in a little grocery shop.
I don't wear anything much now. I very occassionally wear a hammer, viking ship or a valknut pendant.

I wear a pentacle, on top of my clothing, and have never had a problem with it. I get mistaken for being jewish occasionally, or people ask what it means. I'm getting better with replying, it made me nervous at first.
I'm in the habit of paying attention to people's jewlery now and will strike up a converstation with random strangers. I've met some really nice people that way :D I doubt people would wear the symbols of their faith if they didn't want like minded people to notice.

I usually wear my ankh necklace. I like wearing it. I also wear a small pentacle so it doesn't get noticed that much.

It's been a long, long time, like maybe a decade, since anyone made a big deal of my pentacles, tattoos, piercings or dreads. I think the last person to get all up in my face about it was my OB and one of the nurses in the high-risk maternity ward when my son was born, and I believe they may have been reprimanded or even fired for it. Nobody else has ever paid it any mind. But then, I was a long-term resident of the Freak District when I was living in Rochester, and Rosendale where I'm living now is sort of like Hippyville so no one cares.

I wear an ankh, it attracts much less attention, because most people who don't know any better just assume it's a variant of a christian cross, and if people I ask I just tell them that it's an ancient Egyptian sybol without really explaining any of the occult stuff.

I wear both a silver pentacle ring and a a pentacle necklace with various runes...
Neither has ever attracted bad attention but the necklace always has people noticing it and occasionally grabbing for it... unfortunately a side effect of its purpose. But thankfully its always positive.

I used to wear a pentagram necklace (two points up, or "horned," which for me is right-side up), but I seem to have misplaced it. I always wore it under my shirt because I just like keeping it a secret from most people like that. The few times that anybody saw it, I was usually asked if I was Jewish. For some strange reason, a lot of people in this area seem to confuse the pentagram with the Star of David.
Nowadays I don't normally wear any jewelry.

I don't wear a pentacle, though I do have very leafy, earthy and/or witchy jewelry.
My favorite was being called a 'damn paganist'. :cutie:
