I've been feeling pretty drained the past couple of weeks. It's been quite bad on/off the last few days, actually.

- Finals left me in a not-so-great state, and even though those are over, the end of semester is always kind of a "crash" for me.

- My last break-up's (out of two from this year alone) left me in tatters.

- I'm so stressed out over planning my trip to Europe. My family -- extended and non -- haven't really offered to help me organize anything. (Worse, it's my first time flying/doing extensive traveling on my own, so I had to learn everything from the Beginning.)

- I helped two friends, where one dumped the other.

- As much as I love it when people open up to me with their problems, and I can help them -- I think it's been gradually taking its toll on my own energy.

Right now, I just feel so very tired on so many levels. I was going to work on some magic tonight, but I'm not sure I really have the energy to do it all right ... or any real energy to spare. So tempted just to flop into bed, but I also don't want to wake up at 4 a.m. wondering what to do at 4 a.m.

:o

Thanks. Definitely trying to work on all that, especially the nutritional bit -- been eating too much junk lately since Easter. :blech:

I plan on going to a special spa in Germany (Cologne, I believe), so that ought to help things a lot...just wish it were sooner.

Yeah Shawn's right!
You hang in there. You are an amazing friend. Sometimes just resting helps.. Flop and relax, and maybe put on some relaxation music.
Energy being sent to you.

What they said! :)

You ARE an amazing friend! When I have had this happen, I have had to just turn my cell phone ringer down, kick back, take care of myself, ask for assistance when needed (like you just did) and learn to say "no" for a while to people who need your "help" for a bit. Quite honestly, you can't be any good to them if your reserves are so low you can hardly do anything to take care of yourself, or you run yourself so ragged that you get sick or spend all your reserves fighting something off so that you don't, can you? No, right? (You want to be healthy and enjoy and be revitalized by your trip and not be run down and sleep it away or be sick, right?) I have been in that spot and it is not cruel to say that you can not do it this time or right now or whatever. People are resourceful and will find a way to cope without you. I know as a person who cares that seems cruel, and you want to be there for everyone, but it is true. They need to find their way too. You need to help YOU right now, because if you don't, who will? I am not saying to cut people off for days and days, just return the calls when you can better deal with things...on YOUR terms: whether it be in an hour, 4 hours, a day later, or whatever. Do it right away if it will nag at you. The point is to have time away and maybe tell some people ahead so they don't worry that something happened to you.

The point is, if energy were stored in buckets, how could you give of yours to others if you allow yours to become empty? You have to save some for yourself and build it back up before you can take on others and "donate" from your bucket some more. Also, it helps to be around others who are also not a drain on it to balance it out. Seek people who add to your bucket as well as your others in need. If everyone gives to each other, there would be fewer empty buckets!

Take time to recharge yourself, do things you always thought you never had the time to do, and ENJOY it!

:hugz: and positive energy sent!

Definitely trying to do that. I started by fixing my sleeping schedule to normal, and lately I've been trying to eat better. I'm also trying to be less lazy and walk around more so I can be in at least slightly better shape.

I'm going to be working on things like meditation and even exercises where I kinda shield myself from various negativity I feel I've been getting a lot of this year. I have some cleansing and protecting to do, both for my own person and for where I live. Meditation is also included in this, which I could use, being a naturally high stress person...

Oh, I definitely see what you mean, and I agree. I took a break from almost all online messengers, I haven't been texting as much, and I've certainly been declining most phone calls. Although I like to get out of the apartment every now and then, stretch out my legs, &c. I've only been really going out for the fresh air and to run errands every now and then. I love meeting up with friends, even if we just sit somewhere and chat, but I don't feel up to that right now, so I've declined from doing those things.

I do definitely need people to add to my bucket. You know well my story of the two jerkfaces that were in my life, and I think they managed not only to drain my buckets, but take the buckets, toss them into a landfill, to have them crunched up in blocks of shrapnel.

I did go to a local moon circle recently. I go to those almost every time they have them, and I know there's always at least one person (but more often, pretty much all of them) that's super positive and helps refill my bucket. She's such a positive, wise, and helpful person.

Thanks muchly for all this.

Okay, sorry to petition you guys again, but, well, I recently booked my flight to Europe...

I was going to keep that quiet until, say, the day before I left, but I think I could use some energy currently...mostly for balance, stability, and endurance. I was drained originally, then I shot up to super excited; I've been experiencing a lot of eustress (because, after all, this trip is awesome) and distress (worried about job -- going to warn them short notice, unfortunately, worried things will go wrong, &c.). I recently felt sick last night, to the point where I went to bed several hours early, and I really hope to avoid illness at all costs when traveling and attempting to enjoy Europe.

So, please, think of me as I'm preparing to embark on my first extensive travel done by myself, and help me keep up my energy to make the most of my trip.

Indeed. I have been following such advice as best I can, and on one of my days in Germany, I am going to a spa, and no one and nothing can stop me! :p

Thank you for the well-wishing. :)

Quite soon! I'm leaving on Tuesday, May 19th. The flight is scheduled to take off at 1:30 p.m. I should arrive in Frankfurt am Main early on May 20th, at 7:00 a.m. (I have a layover at Charlotte, NC, from about 3:20 to 4:30 p.m.)

I'll be gone until June 5th, when I should be home by around 6:30 p.m. I'm doing extensive travel when over there, too; my Eurail pass covers Germany, Switzerland, and Austria for 6 days' worth of travel. I'm also going to be in Norway for a little while...a little out of the way, and expensive public transportation, but I believe it'll be worth it. :uhhuhuh:

No problem! I'll try to pop in every now and then to check up on you guys ;) and let you all know that the trip's going okay, and so on. I'm a bit worried about traveling when Mercury is in retrograde -- I'm hoping for the best but trying to prepare for the worst.

In addition to all your guys' lovely help, I've been doing a lot of my own psychic cleaning, healing, and protecting. I believe the combined efforts have done me some good. I've been mostly freed from these bad dreams plaguing me (by my ex), and I feel better since yesterday or the day before. I'm going to keep up what I'm doing, and make sure I watch what I eat and get enough sleep, &c.

Thank you guys for everything. I'll keep thinking of you all as I'm traveling and such.

Sending you some clean energy Toki! I'll be thinking happy safe travel thoughts for you as well. I'm not sure if you are a veggie, but try upping your intake of eggs (omega 3 fatty acides), and anything containing B-Complex vitamins. This will help your cells clean out waste faster and more efficiently!:thumbsup:_pounce_

Thank you! Much appreciated. I've been having a persistent headache from all my eustress and distress at once. I feel like this smiley: :awilly: I still have so much to do before I leave, gah!

Oh, not a bad idea. I lean towards vegetarianism (meaning, well, I love veggies, fruits, &c. and eat little meat), but I've never been vegan, so I will always willingly eat eggs. Have been trying to add more to my diet, including cooking them with extra virgin olive oil, since OO is good for providing lipids and helping with skin dryness. Didn't know about omega-3 and B-complex's helping with wastes, though. Thanks!

No worries, I've been looking into this http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/articles/dietcure.htm and this http://moodfoods.com/foodmood/index.html

Both have been pretty helpful in giving me a boost on research for what I can eat to supplement my poor brain chemistry.:uhhuhuh:
