Help me find a Home

Any thoughts/energies that you can spare toward my goal will be greatly appreciated and returned willingly. It is just that I finally got my Mate to agree to try for a house/place of our own. We've seen one place that would work, but it ended up not being the place for Us.

His feelings ('something always screws it up') will influence this house Hunting and I'm looking for some help to offset this. (Gods know We need the help.)

we looked at 20-30 different ones...try to decide what exacly you need..big yard? big kitchen? how many rooms...the more you decide the easeir picking becomes...also please do not "settle" for a house that will just do..unless it is a starter house...the one we deciced on is the best house for us..it had everything we wanted..at a bargain..best wishes for you on finding what you are looking for..dont give up!! its out there...:uhhuhuh:

We won't 'settle' for just any place. My Mate is older than I and he needs a place that he can call Home. :) And I want that for him because it has been a long time since he had anything like that. I want it for me, because it is one of the few shots I've got for my own Haven.

Where are you and where are you trying to move to?

Also remember it's Mercury Retrograde so for now try to look without making a commitment. Get a feel for what you want.

As far as I know (meaning my Mate could change his mind but not likely) we aren't planning on moving anywhere but within the area we are in now (just a bit cheaper with the economy being down). We'd like to move within the year (though later is okay too) to be able to put money towards a goal instead of paying rent.

We are 'just' looking for now. But if it is too good....*wry grin*
property around here goes up at a whim (over 500,000 in a blink). And with the ecomony down we'd like to get a place sooner rather than later (when prices go up again).

So now my Mate is in a bit of 'down' mood. His bank isn't calling him back (do I look surprised by this? That bank is....words I won't use right now).

Supposedly that agency could help us get the money (one of his co-workers did this) quicker and we could move by the end of summer. But now...after his bank ignores him....he won't call them.:bangyourh

And he has to be the one who applies since it is his credit that we are going with (I have no rating whatsoever and it would only hurt our attempts). Beside it is his job that is allowing us to apply.

But I wish he'd call.:(

So there is a place that has just come on the market (a very rare event) that could be a great place for Us.
It is in a location that my Mate likes, and has the amenities that we are looking for....I haven't seen the place yet, but it sounds promising.

But with the 'bad' news from the other place...my Mate is kind of in a downward spiral. He doesn't think he has the right to go for a place that suits him. Even if it meets the price we've set for ourselves...has what we want....and can be 'upgraded'. *sighs*

I'm trying everything I know to try to offset his thoughts, but it is...*cough*...difficult to get him to accept even looking these days.

So apparently I need more help convincing my Mate that we NEED to find out more about our financing RIGHT NOW rather than waiting for this area to 'cool off'. *huffs*

I wish I could convince him that NOW is the time to jump rather later...because Later doesn't always work. Especially here where the values don't matter.
