Request For Invidosa

Last night, Invidosa's work place burned down. (For those of you who are worried about her cat named Charlie, he is A-OK, managed to get out alive and was smart and hid under the toilet, and was saved by some very nice firemen). And this is the fourth fire that has happened to Invidosa's work family in the past year (with a tornado to boot). Invidosa has asked me to start this thread for her and request that people send whatever stabilizing and protective energy to her they can muster, please. Pretty please. "With sugar and pie on top." (Her words.) I am posting this request for her because she is currently without computer access, since it's a holiday weekend for one thing, plus her work computer burned up in the fire.

Decided to give you all a report on how Invidosa is doing, since she wasn't able to log on today.

Today she went back to work, and today they were essentially cleaning up the mess from the fire (i.e., a real big mess). I don't know how much progress was made exactly, but Invidosa herself is healthy and well, and to my knowledge, nothing else bad has happened. Assuming that she's able to log on at any point this week, I'll leave it to her as to whether or not she wishes to give more details. But I just wanted you all to know she and her co-workers are A-OK as of this writing. She is thankful to each and every one of you for sending her energy and/or keeping her in your thoughts.

Hey all, well I have some limited access as of today, and should be up and running next week, maybe i will post some pictures for ya to enjoy of my destroyed equipment and my new office . . . which is a big honkin RV in front of the building! even now i am sitting at a card table typing *shakes head*

Ill tell you all true, this has been a friggin nightmare, we had alot of chemical in the warehouse that just burned through, and i was sick as heck after being in the building all day yesterday, then i found out that the fire caused a gas leak in the building. Its been a long couple of days, and it's looking like a long month at least for the company.

Thanks, my boss brought Charlie by to visit the other day, (after he went to the kitty spa for clean up!!) and i ended up crying all over him! but he's doing well, which is the BIG bright spot in all of this. I lost my dog in December, I dont' think i would have handled loosing Charlie too!

Tomarrow is my meeting with the first insurance adjuster, wish me luck guys! The sooner this gets sorted out the sooner im out of this dang RV!!

i friggin wish! things got a bit more complicated this afternoon sad to say. Our field manager quit on us out of the blue. Which means I am now doing double duty as office and field manager *sigh* this week sucks!!

today we are starting clean up

the adjustors have come and gone and my guys are currently hauling the contents of the warehouse into a perfectly HUUUUge dumpster. Hopefully by the end of the week we will have the burned trucks removed from our parking lot. I think it's really good for all of us mentally, if not physically (im making them all wear particulate filter masks!!) just for the "healing and moving on" vibe you know?

tip of the day: do not try to save ground coffe from a fire, even if it is in a sealed container, it absorbes smoke like nobodies busines!! today i had the WORST cup of coffee of my life! :blech:
