So, i was wondering if anyone has had any success with the adopt-a-newbie program, or if anyone has interest but confustion as to what is going on, etc, etc.
I posted as a mentor several months ago, and have not been contacted, but also see that the newbie board has lit up since. I would love to help those in need, but only those I am able to guide.
Please post as to if you have posted in this section, and if you have been matched with others as a mentor or a newbie. I would like to get a feel for how others have used this program.
The way I took it, you make your post, and "browse" the other post as a sort of catalogue.
Also, does anyone have a success story in the program yet?

As far as I know it is. I just approached someone who posted as a newbie, and we had a nice convo and seem to be a good fit. (Turns out we live physically near one another, and can take it to RL, as well!)
I can handle more than one student, if you read my post in the Mentors thread and think you could learn from me.

I've read your post, and while it was certainly interesting, I think our paths differ a little too much. I appreciate the kindness of your offer though! :) Also, thanks to you i've decided to try approaching mentors who have posted a little more directly. The worst anyone can do is say "no" I suppose.

ummm, I haven't contacted anyone so, nada. I'm posting this cuz there are probably a bunch here in the same frame of mind. Meaning, very green and not sure where to start, so also more than a bit unsure of myself when it comes to contacting someone here. Still reading and educating myself and to some extent, hoping that I'll be contacted when the time is right or at least seeing something that another member has posted that will prompt me to ask them for advice. Just sayin.

How is the program evaluation going? Will it be restarting soon or abandoned?

Well I am starting to revive the programme ,but I have not found a teacher -friend-student-me-feedback mutual relationship that would make me feel really confortable and true in the programme,I'm trying,I got will and patience but I'm little afraid of not being deceived.I have a good feeling about the programme, however I am suspicious and doubt if here on MW there are true teachers that can handle me with my devotion and seriousness and constant thirst for knowledge.I saw this sort of things are not well regarded by 'elders',if I can say like that 'elders'.Also I would like someone who knows egyptian energy work, without eclectic grounding or wicca derived egyptian philosophia,I really need the real, pure thing.I got a lot but an exchange with a teacher can be invaluable.Hope someone hears me...I really don't want to be ignored...
IMHO that there is a need here for practical, true egyptian energywork.

Citana is a good teacher ,she explains things, and I respect her for taking some time to write to me.With Tanya I made a good friendship exchange and she was a help for me,conforting to know someone else passed through certain experiences. However I get the feeling I am not on there right path, that there is something missing...
