Ok...I'm not sure if this it the right forum or the arts and crafts, but here's my question. I am planning on making my own pendulum using a silver moonstone bead as the bob and silver chain as the thread. I was curious on the magickal properties of moonstone and the silver in relation to divination. I'm also considering amethyst as an alternate for the bob.

Also any links on crystal and gems magickal properties would be helpful as well.

Thanks :)

Silver is always good for magical/divinatory uses... something about it's 'vibrational compatibilities', or some such (Damn! After 30 odd years, some of the details kinda start to run together... :ahhhh: )... there are some threads on crystals, stones, gems, etc over in Magick & Ritual... give the old 'search' a go...

Stone for hoping & wishing, feeling & intuition rather than intellect. Used to alleviate emotional tension & enhance creativity and self-expression. Used to protect from the perils of travel. Talisman of good fortune. Enhances fertility, aids in easing pregnancy/childbirth and helps ease insomnia.

Don't know how much that helped, but my opinion is that if you feel it's right to use a moonstone to make your pendulum, then go for it.
