I really don't see what makes this any different than any other robbery. Kids get robbed, adults get robbed, the handicapped get robbed, the sick get robbed, the poor get robbed. Its always been this way as long as I've been alive anyway. This isn't new, a robbery is a robbery at least they didn't take his chair.
I feel bad for him but not in the sense that his trauma is any different than what any one else experiences when they are robbed.

I find it strange he was able to get his checkbook back from "someone". Makes you wonder if this is true or not.

They might have discarded the checkbook after they took what they wanted and someone found it and returned it. That happens often enough.
I had a friend with a shady background and she scoffed at those who would steal from the elderly and disabled. I guess sometimes they paid for it in the underworld, too, depending on what they did. It was interesting, the morals of criminals.
I hope justice is served, there is enough misery and hardship as it is. We should come together in these times, not prey on one another, especially on those already down. Sheesh... :fpatricks
