I can't say that I have any sympathy for her.If she really only wanted 3 stars(which doesn't quite add up that he put 56 on her without her knowledge),she shouldn't have fallen asleep like she says.I don't know about anyone else, but when I got my tattoo, there was no way I was falling asleep!

I agree. Sounds fishy to me. How could she have fallen asleep while he was tattooing her face?? I think that she thought it would be cool....then her family and friends saw it and asked her "what the hell have you done???" and she lied and said the artist did it to her without her knowledge.

I don't believe her story for a second. Silly girl.

I could have. :weirdsmil It felt like getting a massage when I can my three little symbols done.

That being said....I wouldn't fall asleep either. I'm too worried that the person who is tattooing me would screw up.:2G:

My only question is why would the tattoo guy think that stars all over a girl's face would be a good idea?

Another example of make sure that even if you speak the same language you each know what the other is thinking. Or at least write it down and staple it to the front of your shirt if your a female. :bigredgri

My Wife almost fell asleep when she was getting her tattoo; so it is more than possible.

Lol, did you see the picture of the tattoo artist? I'm guessing that stars on someone's face weren't a big deal to him :P

I have 13 tattoos.. fell asleep for most of them. So yeah IT CAN HAPPEN... just wouldn't recommend it unless you have a friend there or trust your tattoo artist...

Yeah.. some weird people like myself find the procedure of being tattooed very relaxing.. go figure..

:hahugh: I could understand it better if it was a tribal piece the guy was working on. Or even just dots here and there. But stars? Really?? On someone's back it might be pretty cool, but the face is....well an odd choice for a constellation. :bigredgri

I'm not sure I believe the girl at all... after all, if she wanted 3 stars of that size she wouldn't have had enough time to go to sleep!

I don't have a tattoo, so falling asleep...I would have no idea if it could happen.
And that tattoo artist:jawdrop: no way in he-ell would I let that human billboard touch me!

Do I believe her, honestly, no.

This is what I think, the artists chat with you at first while they are doing the outlines, and since most work off a template they put on you.. he would have had to do those free handed.

She confessed to lying about it.

I have to say though, they do look good. Not that I'd do it, but I like how they look.

She said she lied because her father was "furious".
Vlaeminck only made her admission after being caught on a hidden camera by Belgium TV show De Jakhalzen.
She is now set to lose her £9,000 compensation claim.

Ok this is bull!!!! She just put another person through a lot of bull which isnt cool, and she is set to loose her lawsuit?
How about some action against her for almost ruining a persons career?
A little legal punishment is in order if you ask me!

False accusations are criminal if you ask me!

If she had actually ruined his career, maybe there would be, but if you read the linked article, he states that the only thing that bothered him was having an unhappy customer, that he is going to require written consent from all future customers, and he got a load of free publicity out of the deal.

False accusations can be criminal depending on the circumstances, but in this case unwarrented.

And she learns what from this? Its ok to lie and go as far as suing on false pretense?

This story happened in my city. She distinctly said 3 stars. I guess the tattoo artist wanted to get more creative. Tattoo studios in Winnipeg are a bit.......suspicious. Most (if not all) are owned by H.A.) and there has been a few incidences of studios that slam the tattoo pen on a table to hook the needle so it's painful. They do this to people they do not like.
By the way, that's Winnipeg!

Now that she has them, and apparently lied about wanting them, the girl should keep the stars until she's older. I think they are cool myself and, aside from having a story to tell, they can be *painfully* removed later... at great expense and with mixed results. She'll never have that baby butt smooth skin again on that side. Lesson learned.

If she hasn't learned by the age she is not to lie about the things she has done, not much is going to reach her. Besides, what can the court do that is worse than what her father is gonna come up with for her? Some people are just selfish idiots and this girl fits the bill.

Perhaps the girl was rebelling against an overly strict father, the kind who you have to lie to because you're afraid of their reaction?

I grew up that way, thinking I had to lie about even little things because the parental unit would be angry with the truth. I made a conscious effort not to raise my daughter that way. She was able to come and tell me when she got caught shoplifting and I supported her as she took a diversion program to keep the charges off her permanent record.

The ones who were trying to be rebellious against their parents that I knew,at least had the common sense to place their tats in places where their parents wouldn't see.......like me :weirdsmil Anything else, like piercings weren't as bad as a tattoo, because it could be removed, but still provoked a strong response from a parent.
