I would like to get some opinions on what you believe defines a d vision from a normal dream, I have had both very defenitive visions and dreams that fortell something of the future and it has always been rather difficult to define what is either my subconcise wanderings or an actual forsight. I mean for me I have learned to take both as something of a truth but understanding everything has a good chance of changing. But because of my increased awareness of my dreams and the severity of them I have been without very restfull sleep for almost 5 years which has seriously drained my energy that I put out on a day to day basis. Please as a favor to me do not attempt to send me energy, unless you know me very well it can do more harm thnen good to me.

First, if this has interfered with your sleep for more than five years, I'd have to ask if you've considered getting some professional assistance. This sounds like it could be related to an anxiety or compulsive disorder that could be helped by medication.
I have had two types of premonitory dreams. The first is when I dream about someone close to me and events in the dream indicate that something is happening. For instance, I once dreamed that my mother was pregnant and looking for me in a large public place. I was told that she needed my help. We lived 1500 miles apart and I soon found out that she had been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Another time, I dreamed about an aunt that I hadn't seen in years and was shortly informed that she had passed away.
Currently, I am dealing with dreams about women and children, and I had some insight this morning that this may be an indication of where I need to go with my career. I'm a social worker and I feel it's possible that I should be looking for work with battered women. My current career is very open to those opportunities. I'm also being visited by deer and this animal symbolizes compassion and assisting others. I've been considering leaving my field and I believe I'm being told not to.
Nearly all dreams can indicate that you are being guided in some way if you take the time to read them. There are also many that are directly related to what's going on in your life right now, and those are usually fairly easy to figure out. For instance, you dream that your husband or boyfriend is cheating. This could indicate fear of commitment, or a very real possibility.
I frequently tell people that although I can assist with reading their dreams, the final interpretation is really up to the dreamer since you know yourself and your life best.
