& the 4th Beatitude.

I think this passage seems more to do with the afterlife than the current life. Not everybody who is oppressed in this life gets justice handed to them. To me, it's more of a promise for the afterlife.

For me, it's the acknowledgement that those that strive to find God, be pleasing to Him, will be filled with Him. Righteousness, at least in Biblical terms, means to find that which is pleasing to God, and thus when they do, they will be rewarded with a relationship with Him.

It is through our actions, and our willingness to do well by *hungering* and *thirsting* to be judged well by God, that leaves us filled.

A wonderful allegory for right action creating right result.

That's what I'm struggling with currently...what exactly is pleasing to God. I'm pretty independent and hate going to people for help, God included. God and I are still in the awkward dating phase.

LOL. I suffer the same, I call it my "trust issues"

I don't know how to work through it - I suppose it's part of the reason why I'm not Christian.

It's very difficult to trust, have faith, know that you are doing the right thing and doing well, gaining that relationship with God.

I think maybe one of the first steps is living a life of Love - but I suck at that, too.
