Divination class

Ok I am getting ready to prepare my Divination class and I want to see if there is actually enough interest to warrant the effort it will take to prepare the class.

P.S. I'm totally clueless when it comes to tea leaves. Can anyone explain what it is that needs to be purchased and what type of stores typically sell them?

I just read the CoT faq. When I read you have to be 18 to take any of the CoT classes I was shocked. Is there anyway I could take the Divination class? Could I send in a parental permission form?

Just a suggestion if you have a dollar store nearby that is the best place to get supplies without spending a lot of money.

As for Tea leaves you can buy fresh stuff in herbal stores or just the bagged variety in your local grocery store.

Lapis_Lazuli I had forgotten about the age thing. You could PM IvyA And ask her what we can do? Or I guess I can do that as well.

Update :
Ok I have been working on the class, however, due to moving I will have to put the start date to January 2010, also due to issues with youtube and the grainy video quality I may have to find an alternative to using the videos , I will let you all know when I get back. :)

Is this class going to come around again? I am currently enrolled in another CoT Class and want to be able to devote quality time to my classes. I really don't think I can do both right now, as I am behind in that one due to circumstances beyond my control.

I think it's weird that 3 classes I have REALLY been wanting to take seem to all be trying to happen around the SAME TIME. :/ Oh well. Maybe some other time in my life?

Ok revised list for the class is as follows :
The topics will include
What is divination ? And why do you want to learn about it?
Ethics
Symbols- how to develop your own meanings
Meditation, grounding and focusing
How to ask questions.
Doing readings for others.

Tarot - This will include the basics such as what to use to store your deck , how to choose a deck and get to know your cards and do readings.
Runes - This will include only the divination aspect of Runes.
Scrying - There will be 7 different forms looked at ( tea leaf readings, water scrying, mirror scrying and so on),
Palmistry - Learn about the various lines and shapes and how to interpret them
Cartomancy - learn how to read a deck of playing cards

I shortened the outline due to the depth of each topic and not wanting to overwhelm students.

You cannot do anything in the class yet because it is not up yet. However I think you can register, but I would ask Ivy to make sure.

I just came to up date the thread I am having issues right now with getting things going. The rule is we have to have the class done before it can be opened and well that is just taking longer then expected. This class will be a go right now it is just a case of when. I do apologize for the delay. I may just have to skip some of the videos for the class to speed things up. In any case I will let you all know when things are done.

Hey guys and gals I am sorry to announce right now I am not going to be able to do the class at this time. Due to recent deaths in my family and just a lot of other crap I do not fee I can focus on the class right now.

I will try again though in a few months and hopfully things will be better for me to focus on what I need to for this class. Sorry for the inconvience.
