View Full Version : Friend harrassed by demon

My friend thinks that a demon may have caused someone close to her to commit suicide. The demon my be harassing her now, by messing with her dreams and effecting loved ones to weaken her.

here is what she told me about it:

in a dream it gave her the name "filth" but it is not it's true name.

in the dream it had the face of the friend who committed suicide, sharks teeth, and eyes a bright yellow (she described it the color of mayonnaise and mustard mixed together), light skinned.

she described the voice as: "deep but not booming, with a slight screech to it on certain letter sounds. with an eerie back tone"

Any advice on what to do and what type of demon it is would be very much needed and appreciated.

Peppermintfairy has notified me to tell that she was just recently informed of this thought from our friend upon the actions of this suicide. I have talked to her about this for a little bit today alone, and I have some more information to offer about the thought-to-be demons actions, looks, as well as responses to previous actions she has taken.
Please contact me and I shall inform you as best as I can..

More information about this entity, and what it seems to be doing, would probably aid us in identifying what is going on. Anything else that you can tell us would be helpful.

Due to the nature of the suspicions I would advise being very cautious.
On both a mundane and a spiritual level.

Agreed, there needs to be additional information.

My friend said you would need to be more specific on what types of information you need.

What does this demon talk to her about?

How does this Demon move?

Where has she seen it? Just her dreams? Has she seen it in the physical world?

Does it take on any more forms besides the one you posted?

What has it done to make your friend believe that this demon is responsible for her loved ones' suicide?

What has she tired to do to help herself with this demon?

this is all the info my friend gave me:
"The demon only said that sentence to me "The reign of filth has now begun"
The demon moves just like a normal person when around anyone but me. When it was just me and it its movements were jerky, almost like a twitching motion, and it held its body in a sort of contorted way.
Another form I recall it being was a tall male with very pale skin and black hair with the bright colored eyes that I described before, one more form was that of a little girl in a white frilly dress and long brown hair with bright red lips with the same eyes
I haven’t physically seen it in the real world yet, but it speaks to me sometimes, changing the words of something for an example, in a more recent setting I awoke from a sleep with music playing and the words said "Die Quickly" upon listening to the song later. The words were not that, for I listened to the song later and they were was "dont test me " Upon listening to the song and trying to fit the words I noticed that it would have been rather hard to misinterpreted them. Then later in the bathroom I could sense a very dark presence when I stepped into the shower, then things started falling out of nowhere, things that were situated perfectly balanced on the shelf and they just fell without me touching them.
I could feel it breathing on me. But I haven’t yet to actually see it here.
I was listening to counting bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drums
And I awoke from a dream that it was in
That’s when I heard the song say Die Quickly
But it doesn’t say that anywhere in the song
I’ve listened to it at least 100 times to ensure it didn’t"

Maybe this will help you. It's the better thing I heard until now.

Filth is an abstraction and, thus, I'm inclined to assume this is an astral demon. One who embodies an idea or a set of ideas. I doubt very much that this demon caused a suicide - no demon that I know of has that kind of power - the human being on some level has to be complicit. This is really tragic, and I'm very sorry that someone passed away, and that the pain of this even is causing your friend suffering and distress.

Your friend needs to take care of herself. Learn to banish with laughter. She should learn how to cleanse and consecrate salt, and should do so on all the salt in the house (that way, whenever that salt is ingested, it finds its way into her body, as a precaution).

I'll see if I can dig up any more information on filth in the meantime.

Adding only to the other poster's text here with : aside from any demonic activity, this person has just lost someone close to her.

I'd be looking at ensuring she is adequately supported, and perhaps even look at some counselling. She sounds traumatized, and rightly so.

Does your friend feel guilty for her friends suicide? Like she could have perhaps done something to prevent it? Guilt is one nasty "demon" and once those thoughts of personal guilt have entered the mind, they become "rooted" in the unconscious, where they manifest as beasts that then enter dreams. (In my own practise, these are all psychological beasts. Not Astral beings nor anything of the like, so I treat them as such when I can.)

"Filth" is an interesting thing for such a manifestation of (perhaps) guilt to say. Filth has to do with uncleanliness. You scrub and scrub, yet you can't rid yourself of something. What comes to mind from something like this is not just guilt, but low self-esteem as well. If this thing is a low-self esteem "demon", instead of a guilt one, then it cannot be banished with any simple method. I've tried to 'rid' some close to me from such a beast, but I always fail. I am starting to suspect that such "demon" can only be banished by the person themselves, but first they need to become acquainted with it and find out WHY the "demon" manifested in the first place.

Oh, and considering this thing is telling her to kill herself...I wouldn't rule out schizophrenia. I know no one wants to think of such a possibility, but something like schizophrenia can be an underlying problem for a long time until it gets triggered by something. (Trauma, drugs etc)

Well, I recommend your friend not try fighting the demon without the help of a professional. This can just make things worse. The best thing your friend can do to protect herself from this demon is through visualization. It won't rid her of the demon entirely, but it can help to keep it from messing with her as much. Every night before bed she should picture herself surrounded by a bubble of golden or white protective light. Anytime she feels its presence she should also try to picture this protective bubble around her. And she should try to control any fear she feels since this will only feed it more energy and make the attacks worse. I recommend seeking out someone with experience dealing with demons as soon as possible. Demons are nothing to mess around with, especially if they are targeting you. Also, considering the death of a friend is involved, it wouldn't hurt to get a psych evaluation and some counseling. It could be that the demon is a creation of her mind to help her cope with her friend's suicide.

I'm not entirely convinced this is a demon and not a mental illness.

Always, always, always....when one thinks they are dealing with a demon is to rule out the mundane.

I would suggest a full physical and psychological assessment. Once those two things come back, then we'll know if we're dealing with a demon or not.

Hearing voices, suicidal ideation, and trauma all lead me to believe that this is not the demonic at all.

I second the suggestions that the OP's friend speak with a counselor. Dealing with the suicide of someone close to you is a heavy burden. It would definitely be wise to get help in dealing with grief, guilt and all the emotions attendant upon such a traumatic event.

However, I am inclined to believe that Filth may be a genuine parasitic entity and that it may have been responsible for at least one suicide. I have definitely encountered malevolent entities that were capable of killing someone and indeed eager to do so.

I would recommend that the OP's friend clean hir house thoroughly from top to bottom. Straighten out all clutter and throw out all garbage, being especially careful to get rid of any standing water or decaying items - demonic entities are drawn to disorder, stagnation and rot. Then wash the floors with a mix of water (I would use Holy Water from a Catholic Church for ancestral and personal reasons), a tiny pinch of salt, and a bit of camphor (you can get this at Chinese stores or online). Wash from the back of the house to the front, shoving all the dirt and negativity out the door.

(If your friend has a carpeted house sie can asperge the floors with water and sprinkle some camphor and salt down, then vacuum the place and throw the dust out at a crossroads, preferably one a couple blocks from hir house).

Afterwards I would advise the OP's friend to get some holy symbols from hir ancestral faith - a cross if Christian, a mezuzah if Jewish, etc. - and put them in hir bedroom and bathroom, since this is where most of the paranormal activity seems to be taking palce.

This, combined with a few sessions with a grief counselor or a suicide survivors support group, may be all that is required. If OP's friend is still troubled by Filth, we could go on to stronger options. But I think that would be a reasonably non-invasive starting place for dealing with the problem.

I don't believe this to be a true demon. It's her own personal demon. By this I believe the friend is very much troubled by the death of her friend. The demon in her dreams is actually a representation of what is going on in her life. The friend she lost appeared to her in a negative manner, which means in some manner she feels she's in some way responsible for what happened. She believes she could have stopped what happened, or in some manner caused it. The dream seems very hollywood, so I truly believe it is just her psyche. She needs to go to see a counselor and watched closely.

This sounds less like a demonic intrusion and more like guilt and anxiety over a friend's suicide.

This person needs a counselor, not an exorcism. And s/he also needs a lot of love right now.

It seems many are quick to dismiss demonic interactions or debate their existance entirely... Has anyone seen a post from this user recently? Demonic escalations are typically more than one person can bear, especially one who's emotionally compromised... It's easy to debate while safely aloof, but have any of the responders actually dealt with intrusions from a persistant dark presence?

My personal experience has been that the stronger the individual is the stronger the attacks become. Similar beings are attracted to similar emotional states, like sharks to blood in the water, and feed off their preferred energy sources. Being attacked and pursued by these creatures is as real and as frightening as being stalked and attacked by any physical predator.

The only thing i've found to meter the attacks is to know the name and essence of your attacker. Cleansing rituals also help, but only when not being innundated by barrages of energy and distractions meant to weaken you so they can feast upon you.

Talking on this subject really does little for the original postee, so I'll conclude my rant and see if i can't track them down and help them for real... If the Filth has succeeded in corrupting and killing another innocent and thus increasing it's power as a predator, then i hope someone will track and deal with it before another life is lost... If I am personally unsuccessful that is...

I firmly believe that the demon that you are talking about is a Incubi, if that is too hard to believe. Not many people know, but they cause they're prey to commit suicide, not just them steal their life force.
If it is not, it would be Azazel, a demon of the astral plane or Andras the demon of discord.
I do hope that that was some help for you. I am very sorry for your loss.

I see the original post for this was in June.

Does anyone know what happened? How that person is doing?
