How can a forum run with the law: Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked ?

Felt for making a philosophical dilemma about nothing really, cause Im thinking about this for the moment. And as a true "occultist" we can bring knowledge about everything from nothing really?!

I believe that Bloggs, Forums, Facebook, Twitter and stuff like that are places where you talk out to Nobody.... and EVERYBODY. And this dimension is quite new with its own pros and cons attached to it, in a personal discussion where you have a face to talk to the level of language and speech is quite different as we all know.
We could talk about exactly what these pros and cons are, we can talk about how a new discussion/speech system that fits to these modern fields would look like? We can stick to the topic and talk about how this satanic law affects everyday life, is it even useful?
Are Satanist fit for the forum world ?
What thoughts are there behind this law?
Feel free to answer any of these questions!
As always Im most interested in those new questions which appear when you try to answer these primary questions, when you read this very thread what falls into your mind?

I think the world would be a dark and scary without your opinion.

Wait, what was the question again?

The real answer to this one does not apply to any Satanist I have ever met.

The answer as it applies to this particular forum is easy: because it made sense to put this forum in with the rest of the Path forums.

Wait, what was the question again?

You are supposed to bring questions here, Im more interested in questions then answers :D
And so you did.
Maybe this cliché with speaking in questions aint that stupid after all.
Can questions be opinions?

Time for a bit of thread necromancy. Apologies if this is looked down on around here, I'm new and not quite aware of the posting etiquette yet.

I noticed the original question wasn't quite answered, and it's a little unclear as to what it refers to.

I assume this is regarding the first of the Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth by Anton LaVey - "Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked."

As a LaVeyan Satanist, I'd answer that in the context of many of us regard the "rules" more as guidelines, not binding in the strictest sense. Take the fifth rule for example - "Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal." A lot of us would be standing around very sexually frustrated because it isn't quite clear in Satanic doctrine what exactly is a mating signal and what isn't, unless we decide for ourselves what constitutes a pass.

I dare say it is mostly evident that humans in general, whether Satanist or not, tend to interpret rules their own way as they best see fit. I know I do. Would a Christian knight in the Crusades be any less Christian if he had slain a heathen and broken the rule of "Thou shalt not kill"?

Some very passive/aggressive questions can be opinionated. By the tone you can tell what they think and what their opinion is. So I think yeah, they can.

Or more accurately what is a " LaVeyan Satanist"?

There seems to be quite a lot of information in these these forums describing what a Satanist is, or more specifically what a LaVeyan Satanist is. Indeed there's more here describing Satanism from a LaVeyan point of view than from say a theistic perspective.

Personally I describe myself a LaVeyan because I generally go along with the Satanic Bible as written by Anton LaVey, and indeed go along with the idea of Satanism as presented by him. However it's worth mentioning that how I interpret this text would probably be entirely different to how another LaVeyan might.
