I'm not sure which topic this would go in, so I'm putting it here!

I had a dream a few weeks ago and told my friend and he thought it sounded like one which should be intrepreted, please have a go:

I dreamt I was in a field with a river running by it talking to a lady who is from work and who was pregnant. Somehow she managed to make her bump form a child which I held (this bump bit is a bit unclear!). Then the scene changes to a train station and it's like an underground station. I've been somewhere and am now coming off it and I walk past two friends and my boyfriend and they tell me they're going to the same place I've just been. I walk out of the station and I am back at the green field with the river. The pregnant lady is in the river face down and is dead. Somehow I manage to turn back time and I then walk back to the train station and my friends and boyfriend are still there. I tell my boyfriend "you know what's going to happen, you have to stop it". Then I go on the train and come back again. This time my two friends are there but not my boyfriend. I walk to the field and the river again but instead of the lady face down my boyfriend is! I then woke up but I was upset cos it felt so real in my dream!! Any help?! Sorry it went on for a while :)

I have some ideas, but need a little help here.
can you give any personal information on yourself, family, history,
and current developments? no names or addresses stuff. Makes
a difference on whether its a message, prophecy, or your mind
sorting out troubles.

I am also moving this to divination where it might get better
results.

Umm... personal history. Well I'm 17, at college, applying for uni next year, moving away from family and home and friends. I have a sister and two parents who I live with. I've been together with my boyfriend for 5 months, previously my friend from my group of friends who are very close. This kind of thing? Anything in particular? The only thing troubling me is uni, it's a huge step and I feel too young for it. I was just wondering if the dream did mean anything :) thanks.

It sounds to me like your dream is connected to your fears about the changes in your life. The river, water, represents emotion and flow. The train represents movement, travel and transition and pregnancy represents birth (of course), new beginnings and creativity. Death can also represent new beginnings. You seem to have felt fear both about leaving and about returning. I'm not picking up that the dream gives you any direction as to which way to go, but it seems to represent your feelings about your situation and may be prompting you to face these fears and deal with them.

ok, more questions. Is your boyfriend going to the uni with you?
Is the pregnant woman a real person in your life, and is she really
pregnant?

could make the difference between a "vision" and "anxiety" or
just sorting it out.

right now I agree with most of Freyja's translation. but the
pregnant woman seems an important aspect, her death, and the
sacrifice to save her.

More complicated than that is the fact that the pregnant lady changes into your boyfriend toward the end of the dream.
