Saturday (ruled by Saturn) is the proper day of the week to perform spells and rituals involving spirit communication, meditation, psychic defense and locating lost things or missing persons.

Hmm... I love divination, but Saturday is SUCH a difficult day to find free time on.

First of all, the Torah forbids lighting fires on the sabbath. Although my family is not Orthodox, and we do use electricity on the sabbath, I avoid lighting candles on that day. So... I'd have to wait until sundown.

Second, there's always so much to do! LOL Friends to see, people to talk to... Ahhh well. ;) I will try to find time, though. Maybe some discipline will help me make Saturday "Divination Day". :thumbsup:

well if you take a look at our days of the week,

this 7 day week was designed based on the 7 visable planets..
(remember that back then there were only 7 known to man)

each day was dedicated as a day of reverence and worship to each God(Planet)

here is the chart

Sunday= the sun
Monday=moon
tues=mars
weds=mercury
thurs=Jupiter...(THOR)
friday=venus. or (Freya;s day, the Norse venus)
Saturday=Saturn..

there are many ways of honnoring them without breaking any personal religious customs, like the Sabat, as Ambivalent pointed out, im sure creativeity can help in that reguard....

Freyja, thanks for this thread :)

I'm jealous of anyone who observes Sabbat like that! My first husband was Jewish and his family practiced Reformed Judaism. His dad was an attorney and sometimes couldn't get out of working on Saturdays, but they did try to keep Sabbat. What I enjoyed most about the religion was the focus on family. Everyone did get together for dinner and their holidays were a blast!

How do Wednesdays work for you?
:D
