Good day!

Have any of you ever had visions while awake, not meditating, I mean? I did a few times in class. It was rather annoying, because the parts I missed were really relevant to the lesson.

Anyways, I had my eyes open, and suddenly I saw a small sailing ship on the sea, near a harbour with what seemed to be Mesopotamian style buildings. The vision lasted for one second and faded. I regained my sight, and then suddenly I had another one. Only now, the sails were rotting away, at a fast pace. Several small holes appeared in the sails, which grew larger. Again I regained sight, again I lost it to another short vision, with the sails rotting further and further. This continued some five more times, after which the boat sank.

At the time I thought this to be a sign I shouldn't continue on a journey I wasn't sure of. I can tell you the journey had nothing to do with religion.

:crazy:What are your thoughts?

Brightest Blessings!

If it were mine I'd interpret it to mean not a literal journey but
ratjher a prolonged act of futility. But alas it was not my vision but yours. Only you are qualified to understand that which has been presented you. Search you mind and heart... the answer is there you need only find it. Good luck with it and let me know what comes of it if you will.

Ah the hints the Gods give us in our quests! Yes, i also have had visions but, mine tend to be more easily defined, as my earlier thread shows.

Visions are one of the high mysteries because, through them the God[esses] talk to you directly. Often the meaning is deeper and more far reaching than we first think it is.

Not being a "dream" interpreter, I'm afraid I can't help other than to offer my prayers for enlightenment.

Peace,

Thanks for your help!

Yes, Twig, I know what you mean by a deeper meaning. The first vision I ever had remains with me to this day, and I can recall it whenever I want. It was that first vision that first drew me to Druidism, awakened my calling to the forest (although I had a bond with woods, previously), and its meaning is only now (three years after the vision) becoming totally apparent.

I was sitting down and I closed my eyes just for a second and I saw something on ATlantis. SOme words at first Indescipherable, then in pure english, were the countenance of man. Strange huh?

I have visions when I'm half asleep, half awake in the morning.
This morning, there was a huge arch and it had an inscription across it. I think it was latin. hmm...
