I need the power, energy and courage to get out of bed this morning, pick up the phone, and get an appointment with a doctor so I can get some help getting out of this dark hole I live in right now...

I lack that right now. I barely have enough to breathe, type, sit here... but I'm too restless to sleep...

Oh sweetie, I lived that way for many years myself. Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and get some kind of help (group therapy is great, meds can be helpful). Hugs and energy heading your way now.

I called :) I was up all night (couldn't sleep), and called at 8:15 Thursday morning. Had to wait in line for 10 minutes... The receptionist was on the verge of rude, but I got my appointment. Next Thursday, on the 19th, at 11 AM. I was SO close hanging up several times... But I got my appointment... *phew* Thank you all :)

(((Astra))) Let us know what you find out Sweetie. They will most likely give you a little written test to take with ten or so questions. they may seem like extreme questions, but it is a generic test that they use, so don't take it personally or anything. Depending on the results of the test they may put you on some medicine or suggest therapy. Either way, good luck with this and remember you are not alone. Taking medicine is ok if it helps you to feel better.
