Finding/Buying Stones

Where is a good place that I can buy or find stones for a good price? Just wondering. I seem to have lost my collect from the many times I have moved. I need to build it up again. Thanks!

A lot of mineralogical/lapidary suppliers'd probably be cheap compared to New Age stores...

I have also been able to find them really cheap in craft stores, especially in chip and bead form :)

Check in your local yellow pages. Another place to check is with your library to see if they have any listings for Rock & Mineral shows.

There are magazines, too. Lapidary Journal's a big one. They have mailorder ads in the back, and though some require you to be a dealer, a lot also don't.

Thank you for all your suggestions. It helped me a lot. I used to get my stones from my hometown where a Native American had a store. She had stones that were cleansed, in clear plastic small boxes and were never opened. I hope that I can find them. I love stones but at times they seem to disappear on me.
