If anyone has energy to spare, I need some for my friend's daughter who is 4. She has had a lump on her neck for a year that the drs said to "just watch." Well, in the last week it grew bigger and became painful. The dr recommended a biopsy which was done on Wed. The surgeon said it was definitely a tumor. He wouldn't say if it was cancer or not, obviously but that is is possibly lymphoma. He talked to my friend about the next steps- seeing a pediatric oncologist, radiation and chemo, the hospital she would be treated at. It doesn't sound very positive. She won't get the results back until Tuesday. her mother found another lump in her armpit yesterday.
This family is one of my family's best friends. her mom and I are very close- we were pg with the girls together. The girl is one of my daughter's best friends and she is just such a sweetheart. She was at my daughter's b-day party Sat. and all I wanted to do was hug her tight. This family has also had horrible luck in the last year or so. My heart is breaking for them.
I wish there was something I could do- but this is it for now. Blessings to all of you who can send a bit of positive and healthy energy to her.
