I know the name probably sounds weird on a pagan forum, but it's one I've had for awhile as a nickname online and in real life so I decided to go with it.

Okay, I'm VERY new to Wicca - in fact due to a money situation I won't be able to purchase books until my financial situation straightens out. So for the moment my education and my studies in/of Wicca is through online research and borrowed resources from my girlfriend AngelinBlack And well...I need help with a dream I had today.

I had a weird dream this morning. I went to bed at 7 this morning because I couldn't sleep until my body just finally gave in then. And then I experienced a dream where a wolf was in my house. Everyone was afraid of it except for me. Until I actually saw it, that is. But it wasn't a fear like "oh my god, it's going to kill me!" It was more like "why is it staring at me? What does it want from me?"

At one point it left me and then went to other places in the house. I don't remember exactly what happened when it did. I wanna say I heard my mom screaming but I don't know for sure. Then the wolf came back to me in my room, and just stared at me before bowing its head low, its eyes still on mine. Like it was sniffing the ground but watching me. Then I heard a girl's voice...it sounded like my girlfriend's kind of...saying that when a wolf does that, it's about to strike. But, it didn't! And then I woke up.

I have no idea what it means. I discussed it with my girlfriend to see if she had any idea. She believes it may be my spirit guide. I was thinking it was familiar-related but I could be wrong, seeing I know bits and pieces and most of the basics, but nothing really beyond that.

Hello and welcome!
I'm sure the others will be along shortly with comfy chair thingies and lemonade.
Let's see, let's see. ::Opens battered and dog eared (though usually accurate) dream dictionary::
Wolf. Hmmm. It says "Be glad to have had such a strong dream. You are powerful; you do not need to kill the wolf, but you can dance with him."
Also, a reference to steppenwolf, "The wolf becomes the lonely seeker (and sufferer). Here it is not so much a reference to the meanness of the wolf, but rather the lonely search for the meaning of life."
"In christianity, the wolf is compared to the false prophet and heretic."
According to Jung, "the wolf is fiercer than the lion and the dog."
A female wolf is "the great mother symbol of wild nature."
::Closes her trusty "little giant" dream book::

Help any? You may have something with the spirit guide thing, I don't know if any of this will make sense to you. I hope it has!
Good luck and bright blessings on your newfound path, and, as Mol says so knowingly, Welcome Home.

Wolf is not a native Australian animal but I got the impression of

Strength
Solitary
Lone
Power
Wildness
Fearlessness
Recognition

I hope this helps

Blessings

I already love this place! I'm welcomed like I'm family it feels like. You don't get that much out here where I live, so it's all new to me. hehe

Thanks for the insight on what the dream meant, everyone. Some of the qualities of the wolf that were described are also qualities that I have as well.

Some would say I'm wild and at times I'm fearless, and that in my heart I'm very strong. Noble even. And when angered, yeah, I'm pretty fierce. No one tries to deal with me when I'm angry.

I also understand that the wolf is one of the few animals out there that takes its mate for life, if I read up on it correctly. Well, I can say that I am very loyal. I'll admit, I was tempted at times, but I stubbornly resisted it, even if I knew giving into the temptation would've been better than sticking around with the current mate I had at that moment. Right now though, I have no need to give into any temptation and I'm glad. The woman I'm with now may not be the dream woman of every male, but to me she's perfect in every way. If there was a ritual to make the perfect individual for myself, I wouldn't use it, because I am with the one for me.

K enough with the mushy stuff. I don't wanna bore anyone with it. -LOL-

Welcome and Merry Meet. Take a seat on the porch hear and we will talk awhile.

The Wolf is a nocturnal creature and is believed to be the guardian of the spirit world amongst many Native Americans. Do you have a Drum? A plastic bucket will work too. Find an isolated spot that has good acoustics - like a bathroom. Turn off the lights, get comfortable, and tap gentle on the drum. Do not think about the Wolf but, rather, free your mind. Your power animal should reveal itself. Pay close attention to your vision.

My power is a Hummingbird which shows that the animal does not have to be big, strong and scary.

Blessings,

when a true samurai gets into battle, he is prepared for death but often more than once it is the opponent who meets death.
