The subforums are the main purpose of this forum. We have moved all of our authors out of the book forum and into a forum dedicated to them.
We did this mainly because the subforum list was getting so long in the book forum that you had to scroll to see any posts at all. :) Rather than wait for complaints I decided to do this!

Although I am not too interested in author-specific forums I think it would be nice to have a place for writers to talk to each other --- like here? I mean I have a book that a publisher has just requested the full manuscript for, and the suspense of waiting on their verdict is KILLING me. I'd like a place to chat about stuff like that with people who grok the whole situation...

We already have that! Poetry & Literature is where we discuss this kind of thing. :)

I looked there... didn't see any writer chat... just topics about books and posts of folk's work.

Hmm. Stuck to the top of the P & L forum you will find the writer support thread:

I like this idea a lot! Very cool, and a great learning opportunity. But I am also very disappointed. I don't know the rules about being negative towards authors here..so I'll keep to myself. But I will say that ONE 'author' here has made his living writing about a path that he fabricated in his mind. Spreading of false histories creating false practices is sad and immoral :(
