I had the weirdest, scariest dream ever a couple weeks ago. I can't stop thinking about it. Can anyone here please help me interpret it? Here it is:

I can't remember exactly how it started but the first thing I remember is being with my two friends. K & M. But they didn't look like K & M. They looked like other people I know. So, K, M, their daughter, me and my daughter were walking through this huge field, that was like a maze. There were other people there. Then a nuclear bomb went off and although I don't know what a nuc would smell like, I could smell it. We started running through the maze and I said, "Let's go that way". Even though everyone else was running in the other direction. We ran through the maze and soon we were at a huge stadium. For some reason I decided we should go inside and wait for instructions on what to do. So we did. The stadium was packed full of people. We found seats and sat down and waited. The next thing I remember is everyone running out of the stadium. When we got out to the sidewalk (outside the stadium) people were running all over trying to find a way to get out of California (that's where we were). Then this old blue car pulled up. It was like a Buick or something. And there was lady inside and she told us she would take us where ever we needed to go. So we all got in. And I remember worrying that the babies didn't have carseats, but that it would be okay because it was an emergency. Then we drove away. I remember driving through different towns, but then I woke up.

Any ideas on what this dream could mean? Thanks in advance.

Just a few things that come to mind based on the symbolism. A maze, or labrynth, to me symbolizes a path, being lost or confused and needing to find your way. The bomb or explosion, fear of something literally blowing up. I also see literal meaning in the crowd being in a panic, also symbolizing fear. Cars in dreams always symbolize movement, a desire or means of moving on.

You remained calm and level-headed through it all. I'm getting that while things may be confusing or scary, you either know or are being reassured that you do know where you are going, and that you have the means to get there.

Or you're just afraid of nuclear bombs. :)

Well, your dream had a lot of symbolism. Most dreams do. But what I am guessing is that you are close to these two people in one way or another, but you had said they did not look like themselves. I’ve learned that this usually symbolizes that you relate greatly to that persons characteristics and, perhaps even idolize their personalities in some form.

The fact that you were running form something dangerous with them could mean a number of things. Are they giving their support to you with a situation in your life right now? Your dream may be mirroring that. This could also represent a desire for you to get to know them better as people.

Your daughter was with you, you had said. She, of course, is your treasure and I am sure than in your dream you were very protective of her. On another level, perhaps your subconscious is telling you to be more protective of her. Dreams always seem to have more than one layer, which means more than one distinct meaning.

I could imagine that the maze represented a struggle in your life. It was wonderful that you got through it! You felt you could tackle this problem while not being too dependent on the others around you. It’s a very good sign. You must be succeeding in many things in your life right now.

I agree with Freyja that cars do symbolize movement. Color also has such a definitive relation to yourself. You said that the car was blue. You have to think of what the color “blue” means to you, such as, does it represent clearness of mind or happiness or freedom? And another interesting point was that the car was there to take you away from your problems. You have an escape…and if you were to ever get into a clumsy situation, you would probably be one to take control.

But that is just my two cents. I always believed that dreams were, more often than not, mirrors of your own subconscious.
