Ever share dreams with someone?

I'm wondering if anyone shares dreams with someone they are close to. Like if you have a dream, and then your friend or loved one has the same dream, only something different happened. I'll give an example. I had a dream about a month ago where I was in a large room that was almost dark with the exception of a low-hanging lamp over a table, like in an interrogation room. There were several people around, whose faces I couldn't really see, with the exception of my friend. There was one man, who reminded me of Ving Rhames for some reason, who was telling me that I needed to go in another room because it wasn't safe there. Then I realized that these guys were about to go into a battle of some sort. After arguing with the man and my friend for a while, I finally relented and went into the room, which was a mini-kitchen, and proceeded to make myself a sandwich. Then I started hearing explosions, gunfire, screaming, etc., outside the door. I got scared, and I had nothing to defend myself with, so I hid in a corner and started rocking and humming.

A few days ago, when I spoke to my friend, I listened to him tell me about his dream, and about the room, the Ving Rhames lookalike, and the soldiers. I asked if he had seen me in the dream, and he told me about my arguement with the man and how I went into the little mini-kitchen. But from there, he said that there were these large insect-like monsters (kind of like in Starship Troopers) that they were fighting. He said it was brutal, but he couldn't figure out where the humming was coming from. :p This isn't the first time he and I have had a shared dream, and probably won't be the last. I was just wondering how many other people have had this happen?

i haven't had that happen, at least that i know of :) , but reading that gave me a serious chills moment.

Wow, what an interesting thing to happen to you Dextra!!! No, that has never happened to me. I do share my dreams a lot. In fact, I share them with people whenever I remember them. Even though I haven't had the same dream as others, I have had some really trippy dreams and others had similar themed weird dreams. I think that the envorinomental surroundings were the cause of them though.

I have shared a dream with two of my best friends who dreamed the exact same thing and we were all three aware that we were in each others dreams.. it was cool...

Yeah, my HoneyGirl & I will have the same (or at least very similar) dream time to time... but I'm always tellin' her to "get outta my head!" :hehehehe:

this has happened to me as well :) my ex best friend and i were so close, we had our cycles at the same time and we were hardly ever apart.....if you didn't know us, you might have thought we were lovers lol. we often shared dreams :)

Heh, yeah, that's what my guy tells me all the time. And it's funny how the tables turn and now it seems like he always knows what I'm thinking all the time. :)

*grins* My aunt and I frequently have dreams about the same little girl, who coincidentally sounds alot like my 7 y/o cousin's "ghost"/imaginary friend(?). She's usually stubborn, sometimes in trouble, and always impatient.

Yes, I have shared dreams with others, though its pretty rare for me, 'cause some of my dreams are kinda screwy. :)

My very dear friend and I have shared dreams and parts of dreams many times; there's one in particular where i moved to maine or massachusetts from the south to have an illigitimate child, and she met me there to be my babysitter/nanny, and met my "family" and we went to a carnival together.... good times! :) My mother and I share dreams occasionally; she shares dreams w/all 3 of her kids from time to time.
